About Wah Wok Chinese Food

Wah Wok Chinese Food is a Chinese restaurant located at 8110 Colorado Blvd #5 in Firestone, Colorado (zip code 80520). As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Wah Wok aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes primarily through takeout and delivery services. They can be contacted by phone at (303) 833-5817 or their mobile number, +1 303-833-5817.

Based on the available customer reviews, the experience with Wah Wok Chinese Food appears to be mixed. One customer who ordered through DoorDash did not have direct interaction with the restaurant's physical location and therefore could not comment on the store's environment. However, they noted a significant delay in the preparation time of their order compared to other restaurants they had ordered from, with the delivery time being repeatedly pushed back. While this was not their primary concern, it suggests potential issues with order processing efficiency.

Regarding services, Wah Wok Chinese Food clearly offers delivery through third-party platforms like DoorDash. The positive review mentions a "very lovely owner giving excellent service," implying that the owner is actively involved and focused on customer satisfaction, at least in interactions that do occur. However, the first reviewer's experience was limited to the delivery aspect and the food itself. It is unclear if dine-in or direct takeout services are also significant aspects of their operations based on the provided information.

The features of Wah Wok Chinese Food, particularly the quality and taste of their dishes, received varied feedback. The first reviewer expressed significant disappointment with several items. The chicken wings were described as having "absolutely no flavor," and the egg rolls, which were identified as spring rolls with "little to no meat," also lacked flavor. The Shrimp Lo Mein was characterized as "so bland," with the noodles and pork seemingly cooked separately and lacking a cohesive sauce. The provision of only soy and mustard sauce packets was deemed insufficient to improve the flavor. On the other hand, this reviewer found "bright spots" in the lettuce rolls and the fried dumplings. The lettuce rolls consisted of separate pieces of lettuce and meat, with the meat being described as "incredible" in taste, although the presentation was not as expected based on the restaurant's site. The fried dumplings were noted as "really good" and still somewhat crispy.

In contrast, the second reviewer specifically praised the "crispy and delicious" fried dumplings, along with a "tasty sauce." This suggests that the fried dumplings are a consistently well-received item. This reviewer also complimented the owner's "excellent service."

Price was also a point of contention. The first reviewer felt that the total cost of $78 (including DoorDash fees, with $60 being the food cost) was not worth the quality of the meal received. The second reviewer noted that the "Prices were a bit high," suggesting that Wah Wok might be positioned at a higher price point compared to other similar establishments in the area.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. There are no mentions of discounts, specials, or any particular promotions being offered by Wah Wok Chinese Food. The restaurant's website, mentioned in the context of the lettuce roll presentation, is not detailed in terms of promotional content.

In summary, Wah Wok Chinese Food in Firestone, CO, offers takeout and delivery services, with at least one positive mention of excellent service from the owner. However, customer reviews indicate significant concerns about the flavor of several key dishes, including chicken wings, egg rolls (spring rolls), and Shrimp Lo Mein. The lettuce rolls had flavorful meat but were not pre-rolled as expected. The fried dumplings appear to be a consistently praised item. Preparation and delivery times may also be longer compared to other establishments. The pricing is perceived as somewhat high for the quality received by at least one customer.

For local users in Firestone considering Wah Wok Chinese Food, it is advisable to weigh the mixed feedback. The positive comments about the owner's service and the quality of the fried dumplings are encouraging. However, the significant criticisms regarding the lack of flavor in multiple dishes and the overall value for money should also be taken into account. Potential customers might consider trying specific items like the fried dumplings based on the positive review, but should be aware of the reported issues with other parts of the menu. The discrepancy in preparation and delivery times could also be a factor for those needing quick service.

Given the contrasting experiences, it might be beneficial for local users to try a small order of the positively reviewed items to assess the quality and service for themselves before placing a larger order. The mention of a website suggests that further information, such as a menu and possibly promotions, might be available online, which could help potential customers make a more informed decision.

I ordered thru DD so I didn't get a feel for the store. But it took them very long to prepare compared to most that I've ordered from. The delivery time kept getting pushed back further and further. Not a huge problem. My main issue is the flavor of the food. The chicken wings have absolutely no flavor, as well as the egg rolls, which are actually spring rolls that have little to no meat. The Shrimp Lo Mein is so bland. The noodles have no flavoring or natural sauce from the pork on them like they were all made separately. I got 3 sauce packets, 2 soy and 1 mustard. The only bright spot of what I ordered were the lettuce rolls and the fried dumplings. They were basically just pieces of lettuce in one box and the meat in another. The meat tasted incredible. But, theyre not pre rolled like it shows on the site. The dumplings were really good and still a little crispy. For $60, not including the DD fees, which all came to $78, it's wasn't worth it.

Found a piece of metal wire in my food. Not to mention there was barely any chicken in the food. Looks like they put in 2 entire bell peppers in one and the other was all onions. Never going back and calling to get a refund.

Great food. Terrible service. Came in last week to order food and waited for 15 minutes, full house of people eating without a server in sight. I decided to call the location and the person who answered the phone instructed me to order online. I explained to the person taking the call that I was in the store trying to dine in and they argued that they wanted me to order online several more times. I guess even though the food is good just be ready for some bullsh!t.

I would never order from here again! I ordered food for delivery and it took 1 1/2 hours to get to my house which was a 8 minute drive. If I would have known I would have picked it up myself. I called twice and they told me the first time at the hour mark it would be ten minutes and the second time I called (20 minutes later) they said any minute now. And hung up on me. I called back to talk to the manager and they said sorry. I was like this is ridiculous all she said back to me was sorry for the inconvenience. When my food finally got here it was so greasy and some of it was undercooked and then my eggrolls were over cooked. I just don’t understand how a restaurant like this is still in business!! I will NEVER order from here again.
