One first-time visitor to Wah Sing Dim Sum sought a quick bite and was drawn in by the restaurant's positive reviews. Their experience confirmed the accuracy of these reviews, highlighting the quality and authenticity of the dim sum. For those with dietary restrictions, such as avoiding pork, the reviewer noted that while their options were somewhat limited, the classic "Har Gow" (shrimp dumplings) was "spot on." This indicates that Wah Sing Dim Sum excels in preparing traditional dim sum staples. The Har Gow was described as well-seasoned, fresh, and of a good size and portion, suggesting attention to detail and quality ingredients.
The reviewer also praised the "shrimp and chive dumplings" as delicious, further showcasing the restaurant's proficiency in shrimp-based dim sum. Additionally, they enjoyed the "chicken buns" and "shrimp rice noodle," both described as delicious, indicating a variety of well-prepared options beyond just steamed dumplings. The only slight discrepancy noted was with the "shrimp egg rolls," which appeared to be filled with ground meat (possibly pork, which the reviewer avoids) rather than shrimp. However, they were informed that these were also good, suggesting that even if a mix-up occurred, the overall quality remained high.
In terms of the environment and services, Wah Sing Dim Sum primarily operates as a takeout establishment. While a few tables and chairs are available inside for those who wish to eat there, the prevailing mode of service appears to be takeout. Customer Reviews
This was my first time at Wah Sing Dim Sum. I wanted a quick bite and saw this place had good reviews. And those reviews were right! I'm not a pork eater, so I was a little limited, but the Har Gow, a classic, was spot on! Well seasoned, fresh, good size/portion. The shrimp and chive dumplings, also delicious! I also got the chicken buns and shrimp rice noodle which were delicious. The only thing was the shrimp egg rolls, I think I may have gotten the wrong thing, because they looked to be filled with ground meat (not sure if it was pork) and not shrimp. But I was told they were good too! They do have a few tables and chairs inside to eat there. But it looked like everyone was getting takeout. You just walk in, fill out a sheet with your order, pay and wait for a very short time for your food. Very quick and easy, no nonsense kinda place. Which I very much appreciated! I will definitely be back to Wah Sing Dim Sum when I'm in the area. It was great!
Service was good and most importantly, almost all dim sum was great! It's one of my favorite places in San Gaberial Valley!
Best dim sum I’ve had since living in the Bay! Everything made me go yummmm! Soft pillows of goodness they call Coconut buns were divine! Soup dumplings, pork buns, lotus balls, egg yolk buns, all fresh, tasty, not greasy, just ahmazing! Only 3 stars atmosphere because it is simple, take away focused. Which is fine. Clean and light. I think there is seating that was blocked off behind screen - maybe because there is construction in parking lot.
Mostly take out but few indoor tables. Fast service. $15 credit card min. Food was served at great temperature and ready in 10-15 min despite weekend brunch rush.
Thanksgiving morning, decide to get some dim sum to eat. Found this new place on yelp, price is reasonable, the food is pretty tasty, however, all have very little fillings in them. The best dishes for me are the salted egg yolk bun and glutinous rice. As for my 6 year old boy, he loves the egg rice roll, Chinese sausage bun and fries donut. I will come here again but only for their certain dishes.
