About Wah Sing Chinese & Polynesian Cuisine

Wah Sing Chinese & Polynesian Cuisine is located at 285 E Central St, Franklin, MA 02038, USA. You can contact them at (508) 528-8177 or their mobile number +1 508-528-8177.

Wah Sing offers a combination of Chinese and Polynesian dishes, primarily catering to takeout, although they do have around a dozen booths for dine-in customers. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife who are described as very friendly, though sometimes their English might be a little difficult to understand.

A standout feature, according to a long-time customer, is their Egg Roll, considered one of the best in the state. Their appetizers, in general, receive positive feedback, with mentions of great Beef Teriyaki, Crab Rangoon's, Chicken Wings, Boneless Spareribs, Peking Ravioli's, Pork Strips, and Hot and Sour Soup. Opinions on their entrées seem to vary, with one reviewer noting that they often add their own spices to enhance the flavor.

Another first-time customer found their orders to be quite tasty, with fresh-seeming ingredients that were not too greasy, and considered the price to be excellent compared to other establishments in the area. They expressed intention to try the place again.

Several reviewers have commented on the restaurant's decor, suggesting it could use updating, with one even describing it as a bit of a "dump" aesthetically. However, some customers are willing to overlook the dated appearance for the quality of the food, hoping that renovations wouldn't lead to price increases. The cleanliness of the restaurant is noted as relatively good.

There is a mention of potential ownership changes and some feedback suggesting that the food might not be as consistently good as it once was, prompting one customer to try it a few more times to assess consistency. For takeout service, one reviewer felt the host could be more friendly and polite.

In summary, Wah Sing Chinese & Polynesian Cuisine in Franklin, MA, is known for its friendly owners and particularly for its highly-regarded Egg Rolls and generally good appetizers. While the decor may be outdated and experiences with entrées and service can vary, the restaurant offers a combination of Chinese and Polynesian flavors with a focus on takeout and affordable pricing.

I have been ordering from here for many years. The husband and wife owners are very friendly. Sometimes a little hard to understand, but friendly. Mostly takeout but they do hae a dozen booths. I give them a 4 because they have one of the best Egg Rolls in the state. Generally their appetizers are really good. Great Beef Teriyaki, Crab Rangoon's, Chicken Wings, Boneless Spareribs, Peking Ravioli's, Pork Strips and their Hot and Sour Soup. Their entrées can be hit or miss. I usually add my own spices to get it where I want. The Egg Roll alone is worth stopping in.

First time orders were pretty tasty. Ingredients seemed fresh, not too greasy, and I felt full. But of course I was really hungry too, so may have biased me a bit. But price is awesome for what you get and compared to others in the area and towns. We will have to try this place again. Like other reviewers, the place can use redecorating. But if that will increase the price, I don’t mind the retro look for good food. It does look relatively clean and I agree that if it looked more clean, more people would recommend the place and not say “it’s a dump, but go for the food”. Not sure if it resent my changed ownership but some of said it isn’t as good as it use to be. But we’ll give it a few more tries to see if it’s consistent. For service, it was take out, the host could be more friendly and polite.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. There are a lot of vegetarian options and the menu has a lot of variety. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of food is always great.

During our visit with our daughter, we ordered takeout from Wah Sing Chinese. The food was delicious, with generous portions. The fried rice and dumplings were particularly tasty. We will back to Wah Sing again.
