About VIP Chinese Restaurant

VIP Chinese Restaurant is located at 705 S Western Ave #3113, Los Angeles, CA 90005, USA. They can be contacted at phone number (213) 389-8532 or mobile phone +1 213-389-8532. As a Chinese restaurant, VIP Chinese Restaurant offers meal delivery, takeout, and potentially dine-in services.

This restaurant has a long history, with one customer mentioning having visited it on and off for 13 years and another for over 20 years. It is particularly famous for its Champong, which one long-time patron claims is the best they have ever tasted. The menu is described as a mix of Korean and Chinese cuisine, offering a unique culinary blend.

However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with food quality and consistency. One customer reported a significantly negative experience with the orange chicken, stating that it was 95% breading with hardly any chicken meat, consisting mainly of fried fat and breading. This customer expressed strong dissatisfaction and indicated it would be their last visit due to a decline in quality control over the years.

Another long-term customer noted that while the location and decor might not be impressive, the quality of the Korean/Chinese food, especially the Champong, makes the restaurant a place that can bring great satisfaction to those seeking authentic flavors.

In summary, VIP Chinese Restaurant in Los Angeles is a long-established eatery known for its unique Korean-Chinese menu and particularly its famous Champong. While it has a loyal customer base who appreciate its distinctive cuisine, there are recent concerns raised about the consistency and quality of some dishes, such as the orange chicken. Potential customers may want to consider the varied feedback regarding food quality alongside the positive remarks about specific dishes like the Champong.

Been coming here on and off for 13 years and today was my last visit. Consistency and quality control has been an issue since I first started coming here but this last visit was by far the worst. The orange chicken was 95% breading. Hardly any chicken meat. I couldn't believe my eyes when I inspected the chicken after noticing I was biting into what felt like mush. After cutting through a few pieces of chicken I noticed that there wasn't any meat. Just bits of fried fat and breading. I paid for orange chicken not orange breading. Never again.

I've been going this little restaurant for over 20 years, it has the best Champong you will ever taste, it's famous for it. The rest of the menu is mixed Korean and Chinese, you may not be impressed with its location and decor, but if you want the best Korean/Chinese food you ever tasted this place will make you very happy!

Great Chinese food in K-town. Family owned business. If you’re going there for the first time try the cashew chicken, jjajjangmyun and the Korean style sweet and sour pork. The place has been there for over 40 years. Really good portions!

The best orange chicken I ever had! It’s crispy, juicy and flavorful. The waitress lady is so kind. It’s good to support a local restaurant like this.
