Village Gourmet Chinese Restaurant

Their food is slightly more expensive than other local Chinese restaurants, but that is my only criticism and it doesn't matter because the food quality more than makes up for it. The wonderful staff and beautiful decor create a splendid culinary experience. Village Gourmet is open for dine-in, take-out and delivery via apps. Enjoy!

So I have to start by saying that this has been our favorite Chinese food place in Connecticut, every time my family comes from overseas the first meal they always ask for is from this restaurant. And while they stay here we order every other day. So we have tried many things on the menu and everything is highly tasty! I mean, it keeps you wanting more, even when you have leftovers it tastes delicious the following day. The sesame chicken is soooo good, crispy, sweet and very well done. The shrimp is amazing too, the one with mango is highly recommended as it has fresh cut mango. We truly love the place for sitting and take out. If you eat at the restaurant, expect high quality service, they just keep you happy from beginning to end. Definitely love this place.

The food is amazing, I forgot when last time I ate such a delicious Chinese food. Everything is fresh, well seasoned and very tasty. Nice stuff, friendly, inside looks good, even I had pick up order. I checked around looks good. Nice quit area with parking upfront. Very recommended!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!! Thank you to chef and his team!!!

We used to love village but lately it’s been terrible. Tonight, we ordered $150 worth of food and it was beyond awful, so disappointed. The vegetables were raw, rice under cooked, chicken over cooked, even burnt more importantly everything lacked flavor. We will no longer order from village.

I have been a long time customer of Village Gourmet. Their food is consistently excellent. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
