Checked out CHIKO for their restaurant week dinner menu, which was 4 courses for $40. It was a great chance to try a bunch of different things, and everything we tried was delicious! The kimchi was some of the best I've had. The entre portions were large, and both the orange-ish chicken and the house fried rice were great. I liked that the orange chicken was not too sweet and syrupy like orange chicken at some American Chinese restaurants, and the fried rice was generous with the meat. I can't speak to their regular menu or the standard prices, but I will be back for sure!

Restaurant week spread for $40, tried the pickled daikon, cold peanut noodles, lamb stir fry, and strawberry dessert. A bit more than I planned to spend, but it's 2 meals for me! Both noodle dishes were particularly rich and flavorful, the strawberry cake thing was pretty solid too, though not at that level. Service was quick and quite friendly!

I do really love all the innovation and delicious small plates that Chiko has to offer. Very excited that they’re no longer takeout only in barracks row! Got the veggie dumplings and the cold sesame noodles and both dishes are so phenomenal and flavorful. Usually i’m worried that vegetarian food loses flavor and complexity but Chiko really has a high standard for their dishes! Tried and true spot and very consistent.

An interesting Chinese-Korean fusion concept with friendly staff. Upon entering Chiko, I was promptly greeted and handed a menu. Having heard rave reviews about the “orange-ish” chicken, I decided to try it myself. The food arrived quickly, and the dish had an inviting aroma that gave me high hopes. I added the provided sauce liberally to my chicken, but after a few bites, I found it to be crunchier than I’d anticipated, which threw me off. The actual chicken pieces were minimal, with most of the dish consisting of the crispy coating, which was a bit disappointing. While the staff member did mention it would be on the crispier side, I expected more chicken meat in the dish. The white rice served alongside it only halfway filled me up, as I left much of the crisp coating aside. Although I appreciated the unique twist on the classic orange chicken, I would have preferred a better balance between the chicken and crispiness. Overall, Chiko offers a welcoming service (and amazing music), but the orange-ish chicken, in my opinion, was interesting yet ultimately not something I’d order again.

The food here is wildly good. Huge portion sizes that are packed with flavor. We got the orange chicken which was really unique and delicious. More of a fast food style place so would just come hungry for a quick meal!
