I visit this place at least once a month. A nice twist to a traditional hotpot restaurant. Fresh food. Great staff. Great price and portions. A fraction of the price you would pay if you were in Flushing Queens at any of the numerous hotpot locations. As for the review regarding sangria... You expect wine glasses in an establishment that does NOT offer alcohol. You can BYOB to any restaurant in NJ unless posted otherwise. This includes Five Guys but you don't expect Five Guys to have wine glasses do you? You must never have been to a Korean BBQ or hot pot. All the team members wait on every table. They pool the tips. They all assist each other. You can flag down any of them and they will assist. Hotpot/Korean BBQ is a different style of dining. I am surprised that you didn't complain that you had to cook your own food.

Couple things to mention. No reservations taken whatsoever so plan accordingly. And it’s a BYOB so bring an adult beverage if you wish. Reminder: your party has a 2 hour table limit. Because of its all you can eat nature, the entire table has to order the same level of meal (just BBQ, just hot pot or combo of both) combo of both is $37 FYI. They are not helpful at all with the menu, do some research before hand and be prepared to reel off what you want to try first including what broth you want for your hot pot. They’ll click your order on iPad and the food is at your table before she even leaves so that’s cool. Flag them down to order more! The free sauce bar is great. Mix to your hearts desire. Free self serve ice cream at end too. Yes it gets tedious waiting for little pieces of meat to cook but it’s a cool experience. Ample parking. Cool date spot as it requires teamwork and you have time to chat and drink.

I visited this place for the first time to try their hot pot, and the experience was disappointing. As soon as we sat down, the server rushed to take our order, barely giving us any time to review the menu. We tried to read through it quickly, but she interrupted us, rudely stating that we could order additional items later. However, no one ever came back to check if we wanted to order more. We ended up only ordering shrimp, chicken, fish, and dumplings. For a hot pot experience, these limited items were far from sufficient. If customers are paying $35 for hot pot, the staff should show some respect and courtesy by listening to their needs. The server’s attitude was incredibly rude and dismissive. It felt like she was more concerned about minimizing our order than ensuring we had a good experience. As for the broth, I chose Tom Yum soup, but it was disappointing—half-sliced tomatoes with hardly any flavor. I would definitely not recommend this place. The poor service and lackluster food made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority 👎👎

The place is good and reasonably priced. However, my only complaint is that they rush you. As soon as we sat down, before we even had a chance to open the menu, a server was already asking what we’d like to drink. It felt like they were trying to rush us to finish even before we were halfway done.

I recently visited V-Yan and had a truly disappointing experience. The service was awful from the moment we arrived. The waitresses seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. Despite the fact that gratuity was automatically included in our bill, they didn’t put in any effort to make the dining experience enjoyable. Our server was slow to take our order and showed little interest in providing even basic service, like refilling drinks or checking in on us during the meal. It felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that we were already expected to tip, rather than earning it. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for good service, I’d recommend finding another place where the staff values their customers and the tips they earn.
