Urban Thai Kitchen

Visited Urban Thai on 12/28/24 and had a wonderful experience. The red curry was absolutely delicious – perfectly balanced flavors and the spice level was just right. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere . Highly recommend!

The flavors in the food are really superb. I have had a lot of Thai food. This has a flair that is just super. For those that do t like much spice even the mild is a little spicy but not over the top. Medium was also just a little more. I did not go higher because of who I was with. Flavors were very apparent. Desert we had the mango sticky rice with some purple pea flower. Wow really good. Service was excellent with great conversation with Ann telling us about the origin with Urban Thai street food as we watched the videos on TV preparing in Thailand. Check it out. If you love Thai food this will be a special treat because it is a step above!

Edit: my last 4 takeouts have been a home run - I’m going to chalk my couple of bad experiences to one-offs and so I’m upping my review to a 4 :) Urban Thai Kitchen offers a mixed dining experience, but the highs definitely make it worth visiting. Their flavors are excellent—especially if you like a kick. Their Thai hot spice level actually brings the heat, which I love. The dine-in lunch experience is phenomenal, and I’ve been consistently impressed by the flavor. However, I’ve found some inconsistencies with their dinner portions and quality. For example, the fried rice was reasonably portioned and tasted incredible two out of the three times I ordered it—easily one of the best I’ve had. But once, it was so bad that I couldn’t believe it came from the same kitchen. The Pad Grapow, while flavorful, left me wondering where the rest of the dish was (see picture). That said, because of how great the flavors are when they’re on point, I’m willing to give them a few more chances. I eat a lot of Thai food, so I know good flavor when I taste it, and this place has potential.

Been looking for good quality pad Thai in houston/surrounding areas, so far this place is amazing. I got the shrimp pad Thai spicy 🌶️ level, let me tell you reminds me of Thailand food when I went to Phuket. 10/10 recommended

Very good place I would get the chicken skewers and red curry and red snapper and sticky mango rice that was the best. I’ve been to phuket before and the food here is genuinely authentic and reminds me of my vacation days in Thailand. Waiters were respectful. 10/10 place Sticky rice + mango : 10/10 Red curry : 9/10 Red snapper : 8.5/10 little overcooked Money bags 7/10 Chicken skewers : 9/10
