About Unique Chinese Cuisine 尚厨
Unique Chinese Cuisine 尚厨 is a Chinese Restaurant located at 11 E Moreland Ave in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. This establishment aims to offer a distinctive range of Chinese dishes to the local community.
Based on online reviews, the food at Unique Chinese Cuisine 尚厨 appears to have both highlights and inconsistencies. One reviewer enjoyed several dishes, particularly the beef noodle soup, which they described as a good balance of light broth, chewy noodles, and flavorful, slightly sweet beef. They also praised the beef pancake for its combination of chewy and crispy texture with the beef and sauce. Other notable dishes for this reviewer included the "crispy purple yam with sesame" and the surprisingly good stir-fried cabbage, which was noted for its crispiness and sweetness.
However, this same reviewer found some dishes to be on the salty side, such as the overall food and the seafood soup, although the latter was noted for its high-quality ingredients. They also mentioned a dish listed as "blue crab and Spanish dumplings" which actually contained spinach instead of crab, with the taste being primarily of shrimp.
Another customer who ordered takeout for Thanksgiving had very mixed feelings. They found several dishes, including the wonton soup, egg drop soup, beef chow fun, and Singapore noodles, to be bland and requiring additional seasoning at home. They felt these dishes were heavily reliant on sesame seed oil for flavor. On the other hand, they highly recommended the pork and crab soup dumplings, describing them as amazing. They also found the sweet and sour chicken to be pretty good and enjoyed the egg custard buns with animal faces and the "sweet filling fried dumplings."
Regarding the atmosphere, one reviewer mentioned it could use some improvement, noting slightly dirty tables and a draft from the door. However, they appreciated the "hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant vibes" and the presence of authentic dishes, expressing a desire to return.
Overall, Unique Chinese Cuisine 尚厨 seems to offer a selection of unique and potentially delicious dishes, with some standout items like the beef noodle soup and pork and crab soup dumplings. However, there may be inconsistencies in seasoning and some aspects of the dining environment could be improved. Located at 11 E Moreland Ave, Hatboro, PA 19040, USA, they can be contacted by phone at (484) 397-0202 or via mobile phone at +1 484-397-0202.

Customer Reviews
I liked the food overall, though it was on the salty side. The beef noodle soup was the best part. It was a good balance of the light broth, the chewy noodle, and the beef that was well-flavored with a hint of sweetness. I also really liked the beef pancake, the chewy yet crispy pancake works great with the beef and sauce. The seafood soup had high-quality ingredients but it could have been saltier. The blue crab and Spanish dumplings were a typo, they had spinach which is unique. I couldn't taste crab, just shrimp. I really liked the "crispy purple yam with sesame". It was a pancake that resembled a flattened sesame balls, but more subtle. The stir-fried cabbage was surprisingly good, they used a different type of cabbage that was more crispy and sweet than I expected. The atmosphere could use some improvement. The tables were a little dirty, and there was a draft coming from the door. But I didn't mind the hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant vibes, especially with all the authentic dishes. I'd like to come again sometime.
My fiance and I ordered take out from here for Thanksgiving. I had very mixed feelings about the food. The wonton soup, egg drop soup, beef chow fun, and Singapore noodles all had to be recooked with seasonings at home due to how bland they were. Each dish tasted as though the only seasoning they used was sesame seed oil, and they used enough to compensate for the lack of any other flavor. However, some of the other dishes were actually great. The pork and crab soup dumplings were honestly amazing. I was sad when I finished the last one. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty good. I also loved the egg custard buns with pig or chicken faces and the "sweet filling fried dumplings".
Sadly I need to do an update. Don't get me wrong, some of the food is really good but the wonton soup did not have any flavor this time and the last time I tried it. The sticky rice in lotus leaf also didn't have much flavor from the first time I tried it. The egg roll was very greasy this time also. BUT the pan fried dumplings are still delicious!! I asked if all condiments were in the bag when I picked up and was told yes. However the only thing I got was a couple of duck sauce. I didn't get dumpling sauce, 😢 and I usually get something with the rice but nothing this time. (First review) I tried some different dim sum's and everything was amazing. The handmade pan fried dumplings are probably the best I've ever had! The wonton soup is so good, the wontons are made with the thinner dough and the flavor of them is really tasty. The roasted pork buns are really amazing, the dough is like a cloud and the flavor of the pork is really good. I really enjoyed the soup dumplings, egg roll, crystal shrimp, and rice wrapped in lotus leaf too! The gentleman who took my order was very kind and helpful. I'm so excited we have a really good, more authentic Chinese restaurant so close! They have American Chinese too. Yum!!
We had a great time at Unique last night for my husband’s birthday dinner. It was really nice getting authentic Szechuan food in the suburbs! When I’m needing a chili oil fix, I will definitely be back. My kids liked the Americanized Chinese food as well.
They just opened today! The menu has traditional Szechuan dishes and dim sum in addition to the standard Chinese dishes you’d see at an American Chinese restaurant. We got the spring rolls, chicken dumplings, general Tso’s lunch special with fried rice and an order of pork fried rice. Everything was really good! Very happy to have them in the neighborhood.
