This is for the Chang Sa Chicken dish specifically :) I had no idea what this dish was and I couldn't find it online, so I took a gamble and ordered it blind! It was QUITE good. Tender grilled chicken pieces with a medley of vegetables... green and red peppers, broccoli, mushroom... with a sweet and savory brown sauce (their menu says this dish is spicy but I didn't pick up on much of that!). So if anyone else is curious about this, here you go!
Uncle Lee’s is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Their food is always delicious, flavorful and great quality. They do a great job with to-go orders as well. Plenty of great options for vegetarians too. Our fave dishes: salt & pepper crispy tofu, Mongolian beef, lemon chicken, lo-mein, and string beans. The owners are so nice too!
Uncle Lee's Kitchen. I love this place. My daughter and I had Mongolian Beef, Salt Pepper Tofu, String Beans and side of perfectly cooked White Rice. I've had the beef 4 or 5 times now. Quality, consistency and taste the exact same each time. Nice creamy smooth meat glaze. It was so good I ordered the same exact meal to go. Uncle Lee is working the front as well as the rear of the house. He is very popular with the customers. Restaurant is spotless. Same with the kitchen. He gave me a 5 minute tour. Staff is very friendly. I noticed as busy as the kitchen was. It was noticably spotless as well.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Food quality is excellent this time and every other time I have shown up unannounced. Same tasty consistency every time. Luckily for my wife and I we arrived for a birthday dinner before the place loaded up. And it does, trust me. Another thing I noticed was the take out business is huge here. Bigger than I had ever realized. Another thing during our dinner some of the takeout guests asked us what we had on our table. Very friendly occasion. Mongolian Beef, very tender and the sauce was like velvety consistency. Salt and Pepper crispy tofu, one inch cubes, slight hint of salt and pepper with a golden brown slightly crispy crunchy exterior. Pad Thai with Prawns were very flavorful blended with the noodles and sauce. String Beans were fantastic. The bean were cooked perfectly glazed yet surprisingly crispy with a snap in each bite. Since the wife is on a big health kick, for me??? Lastly Brown Rice. This restaurant staple tells all about a place. They either know how to cook it, or they don't! This place does, trust me. Just right moisture content, freshly cooked. Mixed in with the meal when I spread it about my plate. Uncle Lee's was written up in the Seattle Times making it to the Top 30 restaurants in Washington State with each spoonful I realized why!
Food, service, atmosphere - all were amazing! Our favorite was the Mongolian chicken - I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often. Lee came to our table too to check on everything - this place deserves much success.
