Uluh is described as a stunning restaurant with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are noted for being incredibly friendly and attentive, providing prompt service and helpful answers about the menu.
According to one review, several dishes stand out, including the perfectly crispy scallion pancakes with a tender pulled duck interior, and the beautifully presented pink chicken soup dumplings, which are warm, hearty, and full of bold flavor. The fresh and vibrant woodear mushroom salad with a light soy dressing, and the truffle fried rice with fresh peas are also highlighted as elegant and satisfying choices. The fragrant jasmine and rose teas are recommended as accompaniments to the meal.
However, another review suggests that uluh might be more of a trendy spot, popular with the nearby NYU student crowd, and while it works in a pinch, there might be other options for better quality Chinese food. This reviewer found the brown sugar duck to be "meh" and does not recommend it. The green Mapo tofu is described as unique and worth trying.
Overall, uluh offers a rich and refined Chinese dining experience with thoughtful touches and authentic flavors in a modern setting. While opinions on the food quality may vary, it is recognized for its ambiance and attentive service, making it a potentially appealing choice for those seeking a contemporary Chinese dining experience.

Customer Reviews
My daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful lunch at Uluh. The restaurant itself is stunning—modern and elegant with a clean, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive; our waiter took our order promptly and answered all our questions about the menu with ease. Every dish we ordered was a standout. The scallion pancakes with duck were perfectly crispy on the outside with a tender, flavorful pulled duck interior. The chicken soup dumplings came in a beautiful pink and were warm, hearty, and packed with bold flavor. We also enjoyed the woodear mushroom salad, which was fresh and vibrant with just the right touch of garlic and red pepper, all brought together by a light soy dressing. The truffle fried rice had just the right amount of truffle essence, paired with fresh peas—an elegant and satisfying finish to our meal. To accompany everything, we sipped on pots of jasmine and rose tea, which were fragrant and soothing between bites. Uluh is a rich and refined Chinese dining experience, full of authentic flavors and thoughtful touches. I will definitely be returning—and bringing friends and family with me next time. Highly recommended!
Definitely more of a younger/trendier place than somewhere to get a good quality food. Close to NYU, almost all of the clientele are uni students. I’d go somewhere for better quality Chinese food but this works in a pinch. Brown sugar duck was meh, don’t recommend. Green Mapo tofu was meh, good to try since it is something unique.
I loved the squash puffs that look like mandarin oranges, and the okra salad was really good. The duck was tasty, lean, but also a bit plain. It was a good amount of food for two people, maybe three could share it and order one or two more appetizers. I would go back to try other things from the menu.
Exceptional Sichuan cuisine with brilliant presentation, amazing flavors, decent portions (if they say spicy it is pretty spicy but spice level is clearly specified) with above average prices that are worth it. Don't miss the tea. Strongly recommend. Our favorites were the teas (wild rose, chrysanthemum, oolong, wide variety and stylish presentation), mapo tofu, crab egg tofu (mild and would help reduce the heat), stir fried okra, fish in green peppercorn (spicy) and the dessert dimsum pumpkin puff (heavenly and ideally single bite) and rose lychee panna cotta. The dessert selection is very good for Sichuan restaurant.
Overall it is a very authentic Chinese restaurant from food to deco. The plating are beautiful. Each dishes have distinguish tastes. The dessert of lychee rose panna cotta is also very good. Only thing I would say to improve on the food is that they turn to be over saucy and salty. So you have to go with a rice. We will try other food next time.
