About Triple Eight 2

Triple Eight 2 is a Chinese Restaurant located at 9813 Chester Rd in Chester, Virginia. As a local Chinese dining establishment, it offers a variety of dishes to cater to those seeking Chinese cuisine in the Chester area. The available customer reviews present contrasting opinions on the service and food quality at Triple Eight 2, which potential local users should consider when making their dining choices.

One customer shared a positive experience from their second visit to Triple Eight 2. They expressed overall satisfaction, noting the pleasant service on both occasions. They were greeted with a smile and found the service to be fast. Their typical order consists of broccoli with brown sauce and an order of wings, both of which they seem to enjoy. This customer stated that they would definitely recommend Triple Eight 2 and would continue to order from them, indicating a positive and recurring patronage.

In contrast, another customer reported a negative experience and expressed dissatisfaction with their order. They called in their order while en route to Chester and then made a stop at a nearby grocery store, Food Lion, which took at least 25 minutes. Despite placing their order well in advance, they claimed that the restaurant did not begin preparing the food until after they had paid, resulting in an additional wait time upon arrival. This customer ordered a large General Tso's chicken with large rice and an egg roll.

The feedback on the food in the negative review was critical. The egg roll was described as overcooked and hard. The General Tso's chicken was perceived as being potentially a day old, and the reviewer was personally displeased with its taste. They noted that the chicken pieces were small, hard, and stuck together. Furthermore, the sauce was not to their liking, as it tasted more like orange chicken (which they disliked) and was described as very zesty. The reviewer explicitly stated that those who enjoy an orange-flavored sauce might find it palatable, but the poor quality of the chicken pieces was a significant issue. The only item they found satisfactory was the rice, which they enhanced by adding beef gravy.

These two reviews highlight a potential inconsistency in the quality of food and service at Triple Eight 2. One customer experienced pleasant and fast service with enjoyable dishes (broccoli with brown sauce and wings), leading to a recommendation and continued patronage. The other customer encountered a delay in food preparation despite calling ahead, and they were highly dissatisfied with the quality and taste of the General Tso's chicken and the overcooked egg roll. This suggests that the experience at Triple Eight 2 might vary significantly.

The provided information does not offer any details about the environment or ambiance of Triple Eight 2. Both reviews focus on the service and the quality of the takeout food. Therefore, local users seeking information about the dine-in experience, if available, will not find it in this feedback. Similarly, the reviews primarily discuss takeout orders, so information about dine-in or delivery services is not available and would need to be confirmed directly with the restaurant.

Furthermore, there is no mention of any special features of Triple Eight 2, such as unique menu items, a particular style of Chinese cuisine, or any promotional offers. The feedback is limited to the specific dishes ordered by these two customers and their experiences with the service and food quality.

For local users in Chester, VA, considering Triple Eight 2, it is important to take into account the mixed feedback. The positive review suggests that some customers have had pleasant experiences with both the service and certain dishes like broccoli with brown sauce and wings. However, the negative review raises concerns about potential delays in order preparation, as well as issues with the quality and taste of other dishes, specifically the General Tso's chicken and egg roll. The discrepancy in these experiences indicates that food quality and service consistency might be areas where Triple Eight 2 could improve.

Given the limited information, local users might want to consider trying Triple Eight 2 for themselves, perhaps starting with dishes that have received positive mentions. If you plan to place a takeout order, it might be prudent to inquire about the preparation time and to check the order upon pickup to ensure accuracy and quality. Contacting the restaurant directly at (804) 706-1508 or +1 804-706-1508 could provide more information about their menu, services, and any steps they might be taking to address the issues raised in the negative feedback.

This is my second visit and I must say I’m pleased. The service was pleasant, each time I was greeted with a smile and service was fast. My typical order is broccoli with brown sauce and an order of wings. Would definitely recommend and will continue to order from Triple Eight 2💕

Not pleased at all. I called the order in on my way to Chester, went to food lion got a few things. At least 25 minutes went by since I called the order in, yet they didn’t make the food until after I paid so I STILL had to wait. I got a large general tos chicken with large rice and egg roll. The egg roll was overcooked and hard, the general tos looks like it’s a day old and I’m personally not pleased with the taste. The pieces are all small and hard and the sauce taste more like orange chicken ( which I hate) the sauce is very zesty. I did not like at all. If you like an orange sauce you’ll possibly like I guess but the chicken pieces are so small, hard and stuck together. The only thing I liked was the rice, and I poured beef gravy on that.

Be careful with this place. The staff is friendly. The food is the best Chinese around (in my opinion). On the other hand, when they give you a price and you go to pay that price in cash, they up charge you more. Sometimes it’s a few cents more. Then there are times when I was uncharged a dollar or 2 more. When confronted, they will say: oh, so sorry. I made a mistake. Nah bruh…you tried to beat me in the head. If they beat me in the head for a few cents, just imagine how many other customers they do this to. Just be mindful and check your receipts.
