Welcome to Top's China, a Chinese restaurant conveniently located in the Pawcatuck Shopping Center at 37 S Broad St STE 11, Pawcatuck, CT 06379, USA. As a Chinese restaurant serving the local community, Top's China can be reached at (860) 599-5358 or via mobile at +1 860-599-5358 for inquiries or to place orders. Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Top's China present a mixed perspective, particularly concerning the consistency of their food.

One customer review highlighted the service at Top's China as "great, very fast and accurate." This positive aspect suggests that the staff is efficient and attentive to customer orders. However, this positive feedback was contrasted with the inconsistency of the food quality, described as "hit or miss," with some days being great and others leading the customer to feel they wanted a refund. Additionally, this customer noted a limitation in condiment options, specifically mentioning the absence of duck sauce and the availability of only "fake sweet and sour" sauce.

Another customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the main dishes they ordered over three separate visits. They reported that every meat dish was heavily coated in a "bread batter," with the amount of batter being substantially more than the meat itself. This reviewer also raised concerns about the quality and nature of the meat used, suggesting it was "questionable at best" and that the ingredients were "obviously all prepackaged." Consequently, they described the three meals they had tried as "terrible." Despite this strong criticism of the food, this customer did commend the staff as "great and very nice." Interestingly, they specifically mentioned that the white rice was satisfactory, clarifying that their negative experience was primarily with the main dishes.

From these reviews, several key points emerge about Top's China. A notable strength appears to be the quality of their service, characterized by speed and accuracy. However, a significant concern is the inconsistency and overall quality of the main dishes, particularly those containing meat and the heavy use of bread batter. The lack of duck sauce as a condiment might also be a drawback for some customers who prefer it with their Chinese cuisine. The positive feedback regarding the staff's friendliness is a valuable aspect of the customer experience.

Information regarding the specific environment or ambiance of Top's China is not detailed in these reviews. As it is located in a shopping center, it might cater primarily to convenience and takeout orders, although dine-in options could also be available. Details about the full menu, beyond the mentioned meat dishes and pork fried rice, are not provided. Typically, a Chinese restaurant would offer a variety of appetizers, soups, noodle and rice dishes, and main courses featuring different types of meat, poultry, and seafood, along with vegetable-based options.

As a platform dedicated to connecting local users with Chinese restaurants, we aim to present an objective view based on the available feedback. The reviews for Top's China highlight a dichotomy between the positive aspects of their service and the more critical feedback regarding the food quality and consistency. Potential customers might weigh the importance of fast and friendly service against the reported issues with the main dishes. It may be beneficial for individuals interested in trying Top's China to consider these points and perhaps start with dishes that have received less negative feedback, such as the white rice mentioned in one review, or to inquire with the restaurant about their most popular and consistently well-received items.

In conclusion, Top's China, situated in the Pawcatuck Shopping Center in Pawcatuck, CT, is a Chinese restaurant that has received positive feedback for its fast and accurate service. However, customer reviews indicate potential concerns regarding the consistency and quality of the food, particularly meat dishes with excessive breading, and the limited availability of condiments like duck sauce. Service is great, very fast and accurate. The food is hit or miss. Some days it's great some days I want my money back. They do not have duck sauce, just the fake sweet and sour.

Every dish I ordered that had meat had a bread batter. Not a problem but there was three times the bread batter than there was meat and the meat type was questionable at best. It is obvious all prepackaged. Personally the three meals I have tried so far were terrible. The staff were great and very nice but the food or I should say main dishes were not great. White rice is white rice how can you screw that up and it was fine just to be clear. After three times I am done.

Very disappointed. Seems like new people working there. Been going there for years and last 3 times, order was wrong or made a completely different way so food was unrecognizable. I get Hunan dishes and they were terrible. Too bad, food was really good there.

Food is 100% not worth it. They raised the prices and shrank the portions. Lo mien has no flavor at all and rice is blah. I do not recommend at all. I would try luckys instead or dragon palace.

Everyone has their own preference of taste when it comes to Chinese food but I LOVE this place. I went here for the first time tonight and ordered pickup. It was already ready when I got there in about 20 minutes. I also added crab rangoon last second when picking up and they made it super quick and it was amazing. Really great customer service from the boy at the counter. I'm happy with my experience here and I'm making this my go-to for Chinese takeout now
