About Tokyo Bay Japanese Restaurant

Tokyo Bay Japanese Restaurant, located at 925 Holcomb Bridge Rd in Roswell, Georgia, offers a unique all-you-can-eat experience for lovers of Japanese cuisine. As a Chinese Restaurant (likely a platform categorization error, as the reviews focus on Japanese food, especially sushi), Tokyo Bay has transitioned from a traditional buffet to an order-from-the-menu all-you-can-eat format, which many customers find enhances the dining experience.

Diners consistently praise the improved food quality, noting that ordering from the menu ensures that dishes are served fresher and hotter. The lunch prices are considered very reasonable, making it an attractive option for those seeking value. The service is frequently described as nice and quick, contributing to a pleasant and efficient meal.

Tokyo Bay is particularly celebrated for its sushi. Customers describe it as "high quality 'value' sushi," meaning it offers excellent freshness and quality that rivals more expensive sushi establishments. The selection is also noted as good, especially within the all-you-can-eat setting. Many patrons consider it their favorite sushi spot, with some even traveling a significant distance to dine here regularly, highlighting its consistent quality over the past 5-6 years.

The current all-you-can-eat system involves ordering from paper menus at your table, with the staff taking your orders and bringing the food to you. You can reorder as many times as you like. Tokyo Bay has a policy of charging for excessive uneaten food to discourage waste, but customer experiences suggest they exercise reasonable judgment in applying this policy. If you're in the Roswell area and looking for a satisfying and affordable all-you-can-eat Japanese meal, especially sushi, Tokyo Bay Japanese Restaurant is highly recommended. We always like this restaurant and visited it about a yr ago before moving. We went to see our son yesterday and visited it together. It’s now all you can eat and need to order the food from menu. The price for lunch is very reasonable and we are surprised that the food quality tasted better and decent. One of the pro ordering from menu is that the food taste fresher and hotter. Service is nice and quick. Will visit it again!

I love this place for sushi. There was a time when you could get absolutely top notch sushi that was a little pricey. Now, top tier sushi costs a fortune and value sushi (while it has generally gotten just a bit better than it used to be) is extremely disappointing. Most sushi is somewhere in between but experimenting is stressful. Am I about to overpay for disappointing sushi? What if the quality/freshness is so low that I don’t even want to eat it? What if I spend $40 and still feel the need to grab a quarter pounder on the way home? I have been eating sushi for decades but I’m still an amateur. However, from my perspective, this is high quality “value” sushi. What I mean by that is, you can find sushi with higher quality/execution but it will cost a fortune. Think expensive, high end sushi bars. This is among the best of the best “value” sushi I’ve ever had and it has been that way each visit over the last 5-6 years. Fresh, delicious, quality ingredients AND good selection in an All You Can Eat setting. This place is SO FAR from where I live and I still make an effort to hazard the traffic and come here at least a few times a year. I wish I could come a lot more often but it’s a real time investment for me to travel here. This is my FAVORITE place for sushi since my favorite little, reasonably priced, sushi bar moved locations more than 15 years ago. So you know, this place was a true buffet before COVID. Now you sit down and place your order on paper menus. They wait on you, take your orders back and bring your food. You can order over and over, AYCE. They do have a policy of charging you for what you don’t eat so you don’t order a ton of stuff just to waste it. I have never been charged for food overages but I have always eaten all my sushi. My wife has left a little on her plate from hibachi but it isn’t like she ordered tons of stuff not to eat half of it. From my experience, it seems that they use reasonable judgement about charging for uneaten food.

The worst server is the one who doesn't clean up the food that the customers have finished eating, doesn't check the customer's table, is too slow, and is not friendly at all towards the customers. I am very satisfied with the food and prices of this restaurant. If I hadn't met that person, I would have had a very satisfying meal. I will be back again on a day when that guy who provides rude customer service is not working

Went to have lunch on Sunday. The place is nice, it looks like it needs to be taken care of it a little more but it’s ok. Service was fine the girl was nice but looked like she was still in training, anyway she was nice to us. Food was not bad but we paid $80 for two people. I’ve eaten way better sushi for that amount. Tokyo Bay roll was really good, the tokoyakis and gyozas as well. Do not order the coconut macaroon.

It's always good to come here. With the recent renovations it got even better. The cherry trees they added give a much nicer feel, bring us closer to Japan. 🇯🇵 The food was always excellent and the presentation has improved quite a lot as well. The spring rolls, miso soups and sushi are always delicious! Really recommend this restaurant!
