About TJ Food (Food Truck)

Discover TJ Food, a Chinese restaurant operating as a food truck, located at 6348 Corporate Dr in Houston. Formerly known as Lau's Kitchen, this unassuming food truck in a nondescript plaza is gaining recognition as a hidden gem for authentic Chinese flavors.

A standout item on their menu is the 煎饼 (jianbing), a Chinese pancake that customers rave about for its authentic taste, comparable to what you would find in China. It's highly recommended to pair this delicious pancake with their soy bean milk for a perfect combination. Another tasty option is their silky tofu soup.

For those with dietary restrictions, TJ Food offers nut allergy-friendly options for certain items, as mentioned by a satisfied customer. This shows their consideration for various customer needs.

One of their popular offerings is the Laus Pancake Wrap with spam. This dish features two fluffy, crepe-like wraps that deliver an exciting blend of sweet, spicy, crispy, and soft textures all at once. One wrap is considered a good snack, while two can make a full meal. The addition of spam provides protein and extra texture. Customers also note the great value for the generous portions you receive. With a quick order-to-ready time of just around 6 minutes, TJ Food is a convenient option for a tasty and authentic Chinese snack or meal on the go. Keep an eye out for people waiting in their cars, a sure sign of this food truck's popularity!

Absolutely delicious 煎饼 (pancake)! Authentic taste - comparable to the taste from China. Recommend to take soy bean milk with it - perfect pairing. Also silky tofu soup was tasty!

Nut allergy friendly for what I ordered! A small food truck located in a nondescript plaza, Lau's Kitchen is a hidden gem! On a nice day, you'll notice people waiting in their cars with the window down waiting for their orders to be called. Order to Ready: 6 Minutes We got a Laus Pancake Wrap with spam for three people to have a snack. It comes with two fluffy crepe-like wraps that are an explosion of sweet, spicy, crispy, and soft all at once. One is enough for a snack and two is a full meal, and the spam adds some protein and extra texture. The value is great for the portions you get!

Flavor of the meat in the " Chinese hamburger" was super good. The crepe was crunchy and what I expected. My only wish was the bread on roujiamo would have been more of that authentic crispy flakey outside like in Xi'an instead of the dry style you can get frozen at the Asian marts. Id still go back if I lived in the area

The Chinese burger (肉夾饃) was a little dry and under seasoned, wouldn’t recommend it (6.4/10). Dang Bin (蛋餅) was yummy, gave it a 7.5/10. However, customer service needs to be improved. Updated: We went again and tried the Chinese burger and Jiang Bin this time. The Chinese burger was the same- dried buns and underseasoned meat. The Jiang Bin was delicious and we would recommend. Also, it’s better to pay cash here.

we came across this hidden gem thanks to yelp! it's located in an empty parking lot on corporate drive right behind hmart! they don't even have an ig or a website :o this food truck specializes in jianbing which is a traditional chinese street food that's often eaten for breakfast. it's basically a fried egg crepe wrapped w spam! the tianjin-style jianbing didn't have any protein but there was a large crispy wonton. it also had a tiny hint of spice from the chili oil and savory bean paste! overall the food was very filling for a really good price! i recommend going early bc some items sell out quick! we got there around noon and they were already out of the chinese burger :( also make sure to bring cash w you i think they're cash-only! what we got: - jianbing - tianjin-style jianbing - steamed pork baos ig: @whatsviveating
