About Tin Tin Restaurant
Tin Tin Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant situated at 7621 Garvey Ave in Rosemead, California, catering to local users seeking Cantonese-style cuisine. Within the category of Chinese Restaurants, Tin Tin appears to position itself as an affordable option, particularly noted for its lunch specials and quick service. Based on the available customer reviews, Tin Tin offers a budget-friendly approach to Cantonese food, although potential customers should be aware of certain aspects regarding cleanliness and customer service.
One reviewer enthusiastically recommended Tin Tin Restaurant, stating, "Delicious food. Recommended to try it. You will never regret." This positive initial feedback suggests that the taste of the food is a significant draw for patrons. The same reviewer also highlighted the "Reasonable price for lunch (11am to 6pm)," indicating that Tin Tin offers value for money during its specified lunch hours. This extended lunch special duration could be a convenient option for those with flexible schedules or looking for an early dinner.
Another reviewer provided more specific details about the restaurant's offerings and style. They described Tin Tin as "a very typical Cantonese style Chinese restaurant" and drew a direct comparison to Sam Woo, a well-known establishment often associated with affordable and bustling Cantonese dining. This comparison suggests that Tin Tin likely offers a similar menu and overall dining experience, characterized by classic Cantonese dishes served in a potentially lively atmosphere.
This reviewer further elaborated on the value proposition, mentioning that the "lunch special is only $9.99 for 60+ dishes as of April 2022." This is a significant piece of information, indicating a wide variety of options available at a very competitive price point during lunch hours. The sheer number of dishes included in the special suggests a comprehensive menu covering many Cantonese staples, making it an attractive deal for budget-conscious diners.
In terms of food quality and portion sizes, the reviewer stated, "The food is good and the size of the dishes are fair." This suggests a balance between quality and quantity, where the food is satisfying without necessarily being exceptional, and the portions are adequate for the price. This aligns with the general perception of restaurants offering affordable and quick meals.
The reviewer concluded with a recommendation: "Give it a try if you are looking for quick and decent Cantonese Chinese foods for cheap." This reinforces the key selling points of Tin Tin Restaurant: speed of service, acceptable food quality, and affordability, particularly through its extensive lunch special. For those prioritizing these factors, Tin Tin appears to be a viable option in the Rosemead area.
However, the same reviewer also provided two crucial "quick tips" that potential customers should consider. The first is a caution about the restaurant's cleanliness: "Don't expect this is the cleanest restaurant." This is a significant piece of information that might deter some individuals who place a high priority on the cleanliness of dining establishments. It suggests that Tin Tin might focus more on efficiency and affordability rather than meticulous upkeep of the dining area and potentially the kitchen.
The second tip concerns customer service: "They do not have world class customer services there if you don't speak Cantonese." This indicates a potential communication barrier for non-Cantonese speakers, which could impact the overall dining experience. It suggests that the staff might be more comfortable and proficient in Cantonese, potentially leading to less attentive or effective service for those who speak other languages. This is an important consideration for the diverse population of the Rosemead area.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Tin Tin Restaurant is likely to be typical of a bustling, no-frills Cantonese eatery, similar to Sam Woo. The focus appears to be on efficiency and high volume rather than elaborate décor or a tranquil ambiance. The services primarily include dine-in and likely takeout, given the emphasis on quick service and the nature of such Cantonese establishments. Ordering over the phone is also a possibility, although not explicitly mentioned.
The key features of Tin Tin Restaurant are its extensive and affordable lunch special (60+ dishes for $9.99 as of April 2022), the generally good taste of its Cantonese food, and the quick service. However, potential drawbacks include concerns about cleanliness and potentially limited customer service for non-Cantonese speakers.
There is no specific promotional information beyond the উল্লেখ of the lunch special price and availability as of April 2022. Local users should be aware that prices and menu offerings can change, so it might be prudent to confirm the current details by contacting Tin Tin Restaurant directly.
To get the most up-to-date information on Tin Tin Restaurant's menu, current prices, hours of operation, and any ongoing promotions, contacting them via phone at (626) 573-1983 or mobile phone at +1 626-573-1983 is recommended. This will also allow potential customers to inquire about their cleanliness protocols and any language assistance available for non-Cantonese speakers.
In conclusion, Tin Tin Restaurant in Rosemead offers an affordable and quick option for those seeking Cantonese-style Chinese food, particularly its extensive lunch special. The food is generally considered good, and the service is efficient. However, potential customers should be aware of reported concerns regarding cleanliness and potentially limited customer service for those who do not speak Cantonese. If price and speed are primary considerations, and one is comfortable with a potentially less pristine environment and possible language barriers, Tin Tin Restaurant might be worth a try. However, those prioritizing cleanliness and seamless communication might want to consider other options in the area.

Delicious food. Recommended to try it. You will never regret. Reasonable price for lunch (11am to 6pm).
The lunch special is only $9.99 for 60+ dishes as of April 2022. This is a very typical Cantonese style Chinese restaurant and it is very similar to Sam Woo. The food is good and the size of the dishes are fair. Give it a try if you are looking for quick and decent Cantonese Chinese foods for cheap. Quick tips: Don't expect this is the cleanest restaurant. They do not have world class customer services there if you don't speak Cantonese.
The lunch specials are now $10.95 from 11am - 6pm. We ordered a scrambled egg with shrimp, pea sprouts in broth, salt and pepper pork chop, hand shredded brown chicken and steam black cod with black soy beans. All the dishes were tasty and portions were generous. It comes with a big bowl of soup of the day and a big tub of long grain jasmine white rice. We arrived 5-7 minutes after they opened, the restaurant is already half full on Saturday. The restaurant is understaffed, we ask for a glass of ice water, it did not come until there were other tables that ordered similar items where the waitress eventually brought our ice water. The dishes also come in batches as well after we ordered. The 1st dish that came was the salt and pepper pork chops, since there about 5-6 tables ordered a similar item. The second dish that came was the scrambled egg with shrimp. We saw the waiter carrying 4 plates of the same scrambled egg with shrimp and distributing it to the table around us. While we were eating there were lots of customers coming in or calling in for placing to-go orders. The kitchen staff is overwhelmed and the rest of our food is now running behind. We have to wave down the waiter and waitress a few times to check on the remainder of our order. Since they were quite busy many regular customers would just walk up to pay their bill at the cash register and ask for a box and plastic bag. Some customers even know which drawer to open for utensils, plastic bags, spoons, small bowls no, etc.
Great food again at Tin Tin Restaurant. This time it was beef with Chinese Broccoli and Chicken and Salted fish fried rice. It's a homemade memory brought back to life in excellent fashion. The portion is so big and tasty. Just the best flavor rice.
We totally love this place! We drive in from Riverside and try to make it out here at least once a month if possible. So well worth the trip, highly recommended!
