川越居 Time Travel Cuisine

The food was amazing: authentic Chinese and Taiwanese food! Every dish had its own distinct flavor. The portions are large. The service was prompt, polite and kind. It was so good, we went back two days in a row. I was visiting from out of town. The skin of the soup dumplings had perfect thickness. The pan fried pork buns’ crisp was just the perfect crispness. The meat to dough ratio was just right/perfect☺️. We had 2 different fish broth, both were so good. They serve many spicy dishes and the different types of spicy come through: heat vs tongue burning vs sweating. I’m not a spicy connoisseur, so don’t know all terms, but their spicy dishes had distinct spicy levels and type. Highly recommend the place.

Love this place! Tried tonight for first time. Will be back soon. Got the eggplant and it was amazing. Eggplant is one of my favorite foods, usually Italian style, but i cannot wait to have the leftovers tomorrow. Just the right amount of heat, garlic and a touch of sweet. Also ordered braised porkbelly. Delicious depth to the savory/sweet sauce. Nicely charred but moist. Generous portions very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Thank you Peter! The owner stopped by to ask how we liked our dishes. Clearly they have put a lot of thought and heart into their restaurant. It's fairly new, and we wish them the best of luck in building their clientele . When I say we are foodies, that may be an understatement. We cook, we try new places, we watch cooking shows almost every night!

Time Travel Cuisine is a fantastic addition to Norton! The food is truly authentic, and the owner and staff are incredibly kind and respectful. Our server, Peter, was so sweet and made our experience great! We tried the sparkling saké, which was a first for us, and it was delicious! For food, we shared the Dan Dan Noodles, Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup (with super tender beef and plenty of noodles), Fried Green Beans (so flavorful and not greasy at all), and the Spicy Chicken with Dried Chilies (crispy, flavorful, and packed with heat). Everything was cooked perfectly and full of bold flavors. The entrees each came with a bowl of white rice which we appreciated. We’re already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes from the menu. Highly recommend!!

My son is having a travel league game nearby and I found this hidden gem in Mansfield. Shanghai style dumplings are amazing! My daughter loved it and had a whole set of 6. As a Sichuanese myself, I ordered the spicy boiled beef which I can’t say as good as the ones I had in hometown, but way better than what I had in Boston. Later after dinner I realized the name of this restaurant is 川越居, “川”is Sichuan while “越”stands for Shanghai area. That must be the reason why they can do the representative cuisines of each region so well! Don’t miss it if you’re passing by Mansfield. Price is very good and much cheaper than Boston too

This place was amazing! We were able to meet the staff, chef, and owner of this place and thought they were all outstanding. The place itself was comforting, clean, and tastefully decorated. Not only was the service exceptional, the food was mouth watering. We are foodies and have high standards but this place met all of them with their authentic Chinese food. Their home-made fried and soup dumplings were amazing and their braised beef noodles were the best we have had in a long time. As we are Chinese, it’s so great to have this place to really be able to experience authentic and delicious food. This place is a gem!
