Hey, its your girl honest review. Tico's hit the spot 😋 They are friendly, and food is always fresh! I got pernil with the cwispy skin, rice n gondules and beans, and sweet plantains on the side. I ate some, so my pic ain't how i got it, okuurr. Smack dabbbity dab, delicious!!! They were busy because, duhhhh, 😆 Def, check them out if you are craving Spanish food on the southend of hartford, on franklin ave! They are budget friendly, 2 meals were $18!! Very likeable ladies working there. We came early so the stuffed potato balls were fresh and hot. The ground beef was lightly seasoned and had some gristle in it. The potato was seasoned with probably just salt. The crust was delicate and thin. The beef empanada had a tiny scoop of ground beef. Great atmosphere. The food is cozy but sadly not something I would go out of my way for.

Came here with my PR boss/friend for some authentic PR food. This place did not disappoint. My spanish is terrible but I had the PR rice and steak with pickled onions and plantain maduros. My friend had similar but white rice and beans. We also had some fried things, one was potato and beef and the other was something made with plantains. Also tried the roasted pork mofungo. The passion fruit juice was awesome as well. Overall this place had great service(for my friend). This would be a bit harder to order here without knowing Spanish/having someone with you who knows what everything is. Thanks everyone!

Small family run Latin restaurant. I’ve bought my lunch here for over 6 years, the taste and quality has always been the same. Prices rarely change and are what I seem to believe some of the most reasonable prices in the area.

Great place for lunch or dinner. They make the best soups. Stewed chicken or beef with rice and beans and other SA foods at their finest. Flans and more for desert. 4 tables with 2 seats each. Friendly staff, clean, very competitive prices. Free parking lot on side or street parking right in front.
