About Tian Tian Lu Chuaner

Tian Tian Lu Chuaner is a Chinese Restaurant located at 9888 Bellaire Blvd #102 in Houston, Texas, specializing in Northern Chinese cuisine with a focus on flour-based foods. While no phone number was provided in the available information, the address is 9888 Bellaire Blvd #102, Houston, TX 77036, USA.

According to customer reviews, Tian Tian Lu Chuaner offers food of generally good quality, though perhaps not exceptionally outstanding. A highlight mentioned is the Chinese churros (油条), which are described as fresh and crispy. The tofu jelly (豆脑) is also noted as freshly made but a little salty. The beef burritos (牛肉饼) were considered okay, but one reviewer pointed out that the inside was not fully warm. Overall, the food quality received a 4-star rating from one reviewer.

A significant point raised in the reviews is the service, which seems to negatively impact the overall rating for some customers. Specifically, the restaurant reportedly only accepts cash and does not take credit cards, despite displaying credit card logos on the wall. This discrepancy caused confusion for at least one customer.

Despite its small and older appearance, Tian Tian Lu Chuaner is surprisingly considered a good option for Northern-style Chinese brunch. For those seeking an alternative to Hong Kong Dim Sum, this place offers a different regional experience. A standout dish for one reviewer was the Wanton, praised for its thin skin and tender meat, contrasting it with the HK-style wanton which often includes additional ingredients. Furthermore, Tian Tian Lu Chuaner is noted for being really cheap, offering good value.

For local Houston residents interested in exploring Northern Chinese cuisine, particularly flour-based dishes and flavorful wantons at an affordable price, Tian Tian Lu Chuaner on Bellaire Blvd might be worth a visit. However, be aware that it is reportedly a cash-only establishment and the service experience has received mixed feedback.

North Chinese cuisine specialized in flour food. Food quality is good but not great. Chinese churros, 油条,was fresh and crispy. Tofu jelly, 豆脑,fresh made but a little salty. Also ordered beef burritos 牛肉饼, was OK, but the inside was not fully warm. Overall food quality, I would give 4 stars. However the service hurts their rating. Only accept cash but no credit card. Interestingly, they put credit card logos on the wall, but they told me they only accepted cash.

It’s a tiny, old but surprisedly good Chinese brunch place (northern style). I had enough HK Dim sum and have been looking for northern style brunch for a long time and I also see this one but it seems so old and out of fashion so I never went in. Finally, I had the first northern brunch here and didn’t fail. And I LOVE their Wanton, the skin is really thin and meat is very tender. I personally don’t like HK wanton, they put too many things such as water chestnut, shrimp etc. BUT I like the traditionally one the most, just meat and only meat but to make it very tender is not easy. This restaurant did a good job. AND it’s really CHEAP.

We enjoyed the abundant portion of food. The taste was nice, spice level was just right. The price was very decent considering everything went through an inflation these days. Of course don’t expect the same level of coziness or proactive service as an upscale diner, since we know what we paid for.
