About Tian's Dim Sum Restaurant

Tian's Dim Sum Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 809 N Hill St in the Chinatown area of Los Angeles, California. They can be contacted at (213) 680-3888 or their mobile number +1 213-680-3888.

This establishment is described as a decent place for enjoying close to authentic Chinese, predominantly Cantonese, cuisine, with the added feature of dim sum items available throughout the day. While the restaurant's physical appearance is noted as "nondescript," customers have consistently praised the "excellent" and "very attentive" service.

Many of the dishes ordered by reviewers have been well-received. Items such as the vegetable and egg fried rice, scallion pancakes, Chinese broccoli, and beef and udon noodles were mentioned as dishes that customers would order again. The portions are also highlighted as "enormous," with each dish being substantial enough to feed at least two people.

Tian's Dim Sum Restaurant is also characterized as a "mom and pop hole in the wall dim sum spot" offering "pretty good" and "made to order" dim sum that is served hot. The scallion pancake and beef roll were specifically noted for being "crispy and crunchy." One reviewer mentioned that dining there felt like eating in their fiancé's mother's Chinese kitchen, suggesting a homey and authentic feel. The tea service was also appreciated for being served at the right temperature, unlike some other Chinese establishments.

While one reviewer found the juicy pork dumplings to be not the juiciest they had experienced, the overall sentiment is positive, with a strong inclination to return. Customers who have primarily tried the dim sum have expressed interest in exploring the Chinese dishes on the menu in the future.

If you are in the Chinatown area of Los Angeles and seeking a Chinese restaurant that offers a wide range of Cantonese dishes and all-day dim sum, Tian's Dim Sum Restaurant appears to be a solid choice, known for its generous portions, tasty food, and excellent service in a casual setting.

This is a decent place for close to authentic Chinese (mostly Cantonese) food and dim sum items served all day. The actual restaurant is nondescript but we got excellent, very attentive service. Almost everything we ordered I would get again - veg and egg fried rice, scallion pancakes, Chinese broccoli, beef and udon noodles. The only disappointment was the juicy pork dumplings were not the juiciest we've had. Portions were enormous, each dish could feed at least two.

Mom and pop hole in the wall dim sum spot. Pretty good dim sum. Made to order. Served hot. Scallion pancake and beef roll served crispy and crunchy. Definitely would go again. Feels like eating in my fiancés moms Chinese kitchen. Tea served at the right temperature and not scalding hot like a lot of Chinese establishments. Only ate the dim sum but will try the Chinese dishes next time.

I've been coming here since 2018, and I come here at least once every month. For me, it's the only restaurant I visit consistently! As I get bored with most places I eat at. The food is great, but be warned, bring a buddy bc they serve you feast style. You can't just get one side. You gotta get a minimum of 3 sides, and so bring a person with you to enjoy it fully! Nice and quiet, and has an old-school feel without all the drab. I really live eating here! The dumplings are great! I recommend uuhhh any of them!

Dim sum only experience:: Hole in the wall place with a good selection of dim sum items and regular Chinese food. They have English names. Servers speak little English so it's best to know what you want beforehand. No fuss experience overall. Price is good. Portions good. Chicken feet is huge . $54 for 7 items between two people. Personally I think I'm used to a style of sticky rice so it wasn't my taste but it could for others. If you're not sure what you want, there are options on the regular menu. There might be cheaper places elsewhere but this is not bad for a quieter experience being there early

Wanted dim sum but didn’t wanna break the bank for the fancy ones plus I wanted more authentic tasting ones so I decided to try this place out. Loved everything I got. They even have free parking in the back as well.
