About Tian Fu Seattle

Welcome to Tian Fu Seattle, a Chinese restaurant located at 300 NE Northgate Way in Seattle. As part of our platform's Chinese Restaurant category, Tian Fu Seattle offers a dining experience that focuses on providing customers with substantial portions at a good price point. While opinions on the overall experience vary, it’s important for local users to have a comprehensive understanding of what to expect when visiting this establishment.

Based on recent customer feedback, one notable aspect of Tian Fu Seattle is the self-service nature of the restaurant. While self-service isn't inherently negative and can contribute to efficiency, one reviewer noted an unusual lack of engagement from the server during their visit. Despite the restaurant being sparsely occupied, the service was described as minimal, with food being delivered without much interaction. This is a point to consider for those who value a more attentive and engaging dining experience.

Regarding the food itself, a key characteristic highlighted by a customer is the impressively large portion sizes. For diners prioritizing quantity, Tian Fu Seattle may be appealing. However, another reviewer expressed disappointment with the flavor, describing it as severely lacking and suggesting that the focus seemed to be more on the amount of food rather than the quality of taste. This perspective emphasizes a potential trade-off between the volume of food served and its overall flavor profile. Customers who highly value taste and attention to culinary detail may find this aspect of Tian Fu Seattle less satisfactory.

Despite the concerns raised about flavor and service by one reviewer, another customer had a more positive experience, particularly with specific dishes. They ordered the Spicy boneless chicken and the small dry pot spicy chicken wings with rice and two milk teas. This customer found the flavor to be great, the portion generous, and the overall experience worth the price. They also added two extra portions of vegetables but noted that the cauliflower and other vegetables already included with the dish were sufficient. This positive feedback suggests that certain dishes at Tian Fu Seattle may be well-received and offer a satisfying culinary experience.

The contrasting reviews indicate that experiences at Tian Fu Seattle can be somewhat varied. While one customer found the service lacking and the food bland despite large portions, another praised the flavor and generous portions of specific spicy dishes. This suggests that some menu items might be stronger than others, and individual preferences for flavor intensity and service style will likely play a significant role in overall satisfaction.

For local users considering Tian Fu Seattle, it's important to weigh these different perspectives. If your priority is receiving a large quantity of food at a reasonable price, and you are comfortable with a potentially less attentive, self-service style, then Tian Fu Seattle might meet your needs. The positive review of the spicy dishes also indicates that there are flavorful options available on the menu that some customers have thoroughly enjoyed.

However, if you place a high value on flavorful food with attention to detail and expect a more engaged and attentive service experience, the feedback suggests that Tian Fu Seattle might not be the ideal choice. The discrepancy in reviews highlights the importance of considering your personal preferences when deciding where to dine.

Tian Fu Seattle is located at 300 NE Northgate Way, Seattle, WA 98125, and can be contacted at (425) 410-6382 or +1 425-410-6382 for inquiries or orders. It is advisable to consider the recent customer experiences, particularly regarding the balance between portion size and flavor, as well as the described service style, when making your dining decision.

In conclusion, Tian Fu Seattle is a Chinese restaurant known for its generous portions and a self-service approach. While some customers have found the flavor lacking and the service minimal, others have praised the taste and value of specific dishes like the spicy boneless chicken and dry pot spicy chicken wings. We encourage local users to consider these varying experiences and their own dining preferences when deciding whether to visit Tian Fu Seattle.

I recently visited Tian Fu Seattle, and while I had hoped for a satisfying meal, the experience fell short in several ways. The first thing that stood out was the self-service nature of the place. While that’s not inherently a problem, the server’s actions were odd. Despite the restaurant being practically empty during my visit, they seemed to do the bare minimum—dropping off food without much effort or engagement. As for the food, while the portions were impressively large, the flavor was severely lacking. Every bite felt bland, as though their focus was entirely on quantity rather than quality. If you’re someone who values taste and attention to detail, this might not be the place for you. Overall, Tian Fu Seattle may appeal to those who prioritize getting a lot of food for their money, but for anyone seeking a flavorful or attentive dining experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

We ordered Spicy boneless chicken, and the small dry pot spicy chicken wings with rice and two milk teas. We also added two extra portions of vegetables, but honestly, the cauliflower and other veggies that came with the dish were already enough. The flavor was great, the portion was generous, good price and worth it.

We traveled to Seattle and decided to visit this restaurant after seeing its good ratings and positive reviews on the app. Overall this was the most disappointing meal of our trip. What we ordered: The Big Plate Chicken, Stir-Fried Potatoes, Black Pepper Beef, and rice. What we liked: The potatoes were flavorful What disappointed us: The Black Pepper Beef had extremely poor meat quality—about 80% of it was so tough it was really hard to chew The Big Plate Chicken lacked flavor entirely, leaving us underwhelmed. The rice was not freshly cooked, seemed to be mixed with older rice, and had a noticeable stain on the bowl. While we appreciated the potato dish, but the rest of the meal was a letdown and definitely not worth the price.

First time at this restaurant. We ordered a variety of fish dishes and desserts. The food had an off putting flavor and was room temperature if not basically cooled. Can’t really describe the flavor. It was aromatic but not in a good way. I do enjoy aromatic flavors normally. Left everyone’s tongues tingly but the food was not spicy. Just our tongues felt tingly then numb. Very strange sensation. We ordered all spicy dishes and we all enjoy spicy food. Food was not spicy at all except if you classify whole peppercorns as spicy, and there were alot of peppercorns, too many and not needed as they didn’t add flavor to the dish in a positive way. Dessert also was not very good. Ordered 1 mango pudding and it had maybe 4 penny size pieces of mango in the entire dish, and the “pudding” was completely liquidated. Not a pudding consistency in anyway. The flavor wasn’t very good either. Service was ok. Didn’t know we had to order online, didn’t realize that until after we sat for awhile and no one acknowledged our way for service. I give the restaurant 2 stars just incase on the off chance that the flavor was just not to the palette of mine or anyone I was with (4 adults). Would not return and would not recommend. Was not worth the $150 bill. They did add their own tip as part of the bill as well.

I live right next door to this place and have ordered take-out a few times, but last week we dined in the restaurant for the first time with a couple of friends and the experience was phenomenal! It felt like the entire staff was serving us with the utmost enthusiasm and care. We weren't sure what to order and they helped us pick out some delicious dishes. They even brought us some complimentary sweet teas during our meal which perfectly complimented the spicy and savory flavors of the food. Highly recommend! I can't wait to go back.
