Thipi Thai

I had a craving for Thai food when I was in Burr Ridge, but most restaurants had already closed after lunch to prepare for dinner. I discovered Thipi Thai during a Google search and decided to venture out to La Grange. It's a great place—clean, with nice decor and an amazing server. I ordered the appetizer platter, which was excellent in both taste and presentation. My sister ordered the chicken cashew, and I had the pad Thai. The presentation was great, and the ingredients were fresh. Our server checked on us several times and kept our table neat. I tried the banana sticky rice, which was new to me since it's usually served with mango. I'm still a mango fan—but the banana was good. I highly recommend this place.

I am very happy that we ended up coming here as the food was delicious. I'm generally someone who sticks with comfort foods but I'm glad that I decided to branch out a bit. The two entrees we ordered were amazing, as was the appetizer and dessert. In addition to great food, the restaurant did a good job of spacing us out in addition to great mask compliance by the staff.

The food here was excellent. I've been to several Thai restaurants in the area. The food here was better than most. The curry was similar in taste. Not a lot you can do with Panang chicken curry. Tried the "ginger zing" and it was excellent. It looked beautiful on the plate and the textures of the vegetables were great. Often they are overcooked but these were not. You could taste the ginger but it was not overpowering. The food prices were a bit higher than most, but this food, as i said, was excellent and beautiful on the plate. I will be going back.

My husband and I visited Thipi Thai for the first time, for a Saturday lunch. We were seated right away, and service was friendly and quick. It was not very busy at the time we visited. I had the Thipi Noodles, which is pretty much a brothy garlic sauce with beef, broccoli, carrots, pineapple, and wide noodles that are fried crisp. I wish it would have come with a little white rice to (1) make it a little more filling and (2) absorb excess sauce. I apparently have a hole in my lip because I ended up with spots of sauce on my shirt, which left unsightly little oily stains. Having a spoon, rather than a fork, might have helped with that a little… I should have thought to ask. My husband had the Spicy Basil with chicken, and has chilis, vegetables and Thai basil in a spicy garlic sauce. It was very good. We ultimately enjoyed our lunch at Thipi Thai, and would love to come back, if we are back in the LaGrange area.

Very good place to enjoy Thai food. Appetizer sampler (Thipi Platter) is amazing! Peanut sauce is so good! Must try! Everything on this plate is phenomenal!! My fav's: Thipi Platter Spicy Basil Beef Nutty Noodle Chicken Panang Curry with Chicken Papaya Salad This place is cozy and clean. Service is usually pretty good. We love coming here. They also deliver which is very nice! There are a couple cafe tables outside for summer dining. We enjoy sitting outside since it's a quiet block and peaceful. Try Thipi Thai!!! It will soon be your go-to place for great food and an romantic dining experience :)
