I'm looking for something different for lunch with my uncle in San Francisco. The Soup shows up in my research, which seems like a good idea. I decided to give them a try. I was there at around 11:30 am. 30 minutes after the restaurant opens on a Saturday morning. The restaurant wasn't very busy. We have an excellent table next to the big window in front of the restaurant. The dining room is very clean and comfortable as well. All the soups and foods we ordered are delicious. We love them all. The service is better than most of the Chinese restaurants in the area. We enjoyed our lunch here. I’ll be back soon!
Try new stuff tonight. The Interior is nice. They have many choices of soup and steamed rice. The soup is yummy and the steam rice also good. The braised pork with preserved veggie is a bit sweet for my taste. The lamb soup is good. Looks like is the most pricey item but it is for 2 to 3 people. Good that no lamb smell on the soup at all.
Nice pictures advertising the different types of soups. However the actual product was nothing like the pictures. We've never felt so scammed by a restaurant on Irving. Service was rude ... Trying to push us out the door before we even finish our food.
This restaurant took over a Chinese dessert place and now they are serving specialty soups and steamer rice in lotus leaves. Every dish is appropriately portioned and priced. The lamb stew pot was the most outstanding dish and the Tong Ho veggie side dish that came with it made it an 8 star dish! The only down side is that their menu selection menu is very limited and that makes going back as a frequent patron a tough sell.
Came here on a Tuesday afternoon with no wait with a group of 3. Good: - The food comes out really quickly - The chicken soup was pretty good - I liked the abalone and it was super chewy - it was very hearty too Bad: - I wasn't a big fan of the coconut soup - it was sweet but also savory and it was really weird - also there wasn't a lot of food for the price. - Pretty casual place - Just a little too expensive for the portion size Overall this place was unique, though I might not come again since the food is a little weird.
