About The Rice House

The Rice House is a Chinese restaurant located at 2725 N Hwy 67 in Florissant, Missouri, serving the local community with a range of Chinese cuisine. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, The Rice House likely offers services such as dine-in and takeout, providing options for customers to enjoy their meals at the restaurant or in the comfort of their own homes. However, recent customer reviews have raised concerns regarding portion sizes and order accuracy, which potential local users should be aware of.

The provided reviews do not offer any specific details about the environment or ambiance of The Rice House. Therefore, it is not possible to describe the restaurant's interior, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere based on the available information. Local users interested in dining in may need to visit the location to assess the environment for themselves.

The services at The Rice House include the preparation and sale of various Chinese dishes, presumably available for both dine-in and takeout. Customers can likely place orders over the phone at (314) 921-0711 or +1 314-921-0711. The menu appears to include standard Chinese fare such as fried rice (including shrimp fried rice and ultimate fried rice) and crab rangoon. However, based on customer feedback, there seem to be issues related to the quantity and accuracy of these orders.

A significant concern raised in the customer reviews pertains to the portion sizes, particularly of the fried rice dishes. One reviewer expressed shock at what was considered a "whole order of shrimp fried rice," stating that it was "nowhere near a full order" compared to other Chinese restaurants they had visited. They felt that the portion received was more akin to a half order but was charged at the price of a whole order. This customer also noted a lack of an adequate amount of shrimp in the dish, expressing disappointment and stating that they would not be returning due to this issue of perceived value for money.

Another customer shared a similarly negative experience with a "WHOLE order of Ultimate fried rice" ordered online. They were surprised to find the box was not full upon arriving home. Furthermore, their order, which was priced at over $12, was missing key ingredients such as shrimp and ham, containing only beef. This discrepancy between the menu description and the received order was a major point of dissatisfaction. Additionally, this reviewer found the three crab ragoons they ordered to be "hella small" for the price of $3.79, leading them to conclude that they would not order a whole order of fried rice or crab ragoons from this location again. This customer also mentioned reading other negative reviews with "repetitive complaints," suggesting that the issues they experienced might not be isolated incidents.

The features of The Rice House that can be gleaned from these reviews are limited and primarily negative. They offer dishes like shrimp fried rice and ultimate fried rice, but there are concerns about the portion sizes and the accuracy of ingredients in these dishes. Crab rangoons are also on the menu, but one customer found them to be significantly smaller than expected for the price. The fact that one reviewer mentioned usually ordering from an "original location" (presumably of the same restaurant or a related one that is currently closed) hints at a possible difference in standards or quality between different branches or at different times.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special deals at The Rice House based on these reviews. The focus of the feedback is on the perceived lack of value due to small portion sizes and inaccuracies in orders, rather than any positive aspects like promotions.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for The Rice House in Florissant, MO, highlight significant concerns regarding the portion sizes of their fried rice dishes and the accuracy of online orders, particularly the Ultimate fried rice. Customers have expressed disappointment at receiving what they believe to be less than a full order for the price paid and at missing ingredients. The size of the crab rangoons has also been criticized as being too small for the price. While one reviewer initially found the food and service to be good, their overall experience was overshadowed by the inadequate portion size of the shrimp fried rice, leading them not to return. The other reviewer's experience with a missing order and small crab rangoons further reinforces these concerns. Local users considering The Rice House should be aware of these reported issues with portion sizes and order accuracy and may want to take them into account when making their dining decisions. To contact The Rice House, you can call (314) 921-0711 or +1 314-921-0711.

The food and service were good, but I was completely shocked by what was considered a whole order of shrimp fried rice. It was nowhere near a full order.. every other place I’ve been to serves way more rice than what I received. When I asked about it, the staff didn’t have much to say. Let me show y’all what a REAL whole order of shrimp rice looks like with more than 6 shrimp… something that’s actually worth my money. I won’t be coming back. What y’all gave me was a half order at best but I’m paying whole order prices. Please get it together. * the picture below is from china peace not the rice house. Also located on Lindbergh / hwy67

314 Day: I placed an online order for a WHOLE order of Ultimate fried rice cuz I didn't wanna cook or buy something for dinner so whatever I didn't eat for lunch, I'd have for dinner. When I got home and opened the box, to my surprise, the box wasn't full! The pic i posted here was at this moment. This rice was $12 and change (menu price) and they got the nerve to not fill it??? There's was no shrimp or ham in the box; only beef. Then, the 3 crab ragoons were hella small (I didn't take pics of them). They were $3.79! I haven't ordered ragoons in years so I don't know what happened with the sizes. I usually order from the original location, which is like about ten minutes from my house, but since they're closed, I been ordering from this one. I've been reading all bad reviews on here b4 I posted this, and it's a shame that one place has so many repetitive complaints. I don't think I will b ordering a whole order from this location or crab ragoons ever again. Oh, and I ate all the rice for lunch, so I'll have to make something for dinner. SMH

Never will order from this location again! Wont have any until the main location open back up. Now the food was still good taste wise. The tofu was super large, fried rice from the main location already is plain fried, they smashed all of the plates and had all the sauce leaking out into the bag and on to our table as you see in the pic we started to wipe it up. Tofu was supposed to had been extra crispy and wasnt. Just smashed and messy. The other location would have never. Never expected the experience to be so different when its supposed to be the same. Uber eats delievered each time besides time we picked up on our own from the main location. Never again.. the presentation was so disrespectful!
