One customer recounted a positive experience hosting a private 90th birthday banquet at the restaurant. They highlighted the excellent food and great service provided in a private room, which was appreciated for allowing comfortable conversation among the elderly guests. This suggests that The Palace Seafood & Dim Sum is well-equipped to handle group events and offers private dining spaces.
This same reviewer also mentioned a long history with the restaurant, having frequented it since 2012 for lunch, dinner, and home delivery. This indicates consistent quality and reliability across different dining options. They also noted the generous portion sizes, even for a smaller group, with ample leftovers to take home.
Another review praised the excellent and attentive service, as well as the quality of the food. A key feature highlighted was the well-balanced seasoning of the dishes, with the reviewer noting that unlike many similar restaurants, the food here was not overly oily. This suggests a focus on healthier and more refined Chinese cooking.

Went for a private 90th birthday banquet on a rainy day. Food was excellent and service was great. We were in a private room so the elderly can hear the conversation and enjoyed the dinner. We have been to this place since 2012 for lunch, dinner, and home delivery. We only have 9 people but it was way too much food for us. We were all very happy to take a lot of food home. Sorry forgot to take photos for other dishes. They offer several different banquet set with different prices.
Excellent, attentive service and food. A lot of other similar restaurants the dishes tend to be too oily for my taste, but the seasoning was well balanced across a variety of dishes we tried. Only con would be the slightly limited parking. Would still highly recommend
Nice clean place for dim sum on the West side. The only issues I have are the valet parking and the prices for the items. For the same price, I could get twice as much food at other Chinese restaurants. Maybe the rent is too high? The orange chicken was bit too sweet, and the chicken meat was sliced too thin. I actually liked the sauteed spinach, which was cooked just right and then portion was very generous. It was chewy yet soft. Black bean sauce oysters we're decent, but not enough oysters. The dim sum dishes were pretty good, but the prices were a bit steep for each item. The servers were okay, although they didn't speak much English. I liked the fish in the tank as soon as you walk in. The free peanuts were the best.
For brunch and dim sum. Flavor was good, in all our selected plates. Maybe for some dishes, the wraps are thicker for a dim sum lover. However, overall the experience was very good. Parking is limited and works with a valet parking. Ask to validate ticket after finishing your meal.
This has to be the best dim sum place on the west side. The sticky rice balls, and the pork and shrimp Shumai are delicious. If you feel like having something spicy and I mean spicy, try one of my favorite dishes here, Szechuan chicken. It’s hot, not for beginners.
