The Orient Bethpage

Probably one of the better dim sum places on Long Island. Go there every now and then. Seems to be well known. I drive a good 40 minutes from where I live. Recommend it when you are in the mood for dim sum.

I flew to New York for a quick weekend and spend time with family. My sister asked me what I was creating for, and I said Asian food. I was impressed with this restaurant, the service is impeccable, the food was excellent , and I can't wait to go back again! This is real Cantonese food! It felt cozy and I can tell many people enjoy this place.

I used to visit this spot weekly for their lunch special: General Tso's chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Lately, I've been saving money by bringing my own lunch to work, but this place is just down the block from my job, so I treat myself on Fridays because it's that good. The food tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell they put care into preparing each dish. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere is super relaxed. My coworkers and I still make it a regular stop. Highly recommend!

Greatest Christmas dinner, ever. I was told this was some of the most authentic, delicious Chinese food in New York, but from the look of the restaurant, I would have never guessed. It looks like most other Chinese restaurants on Long Island, but the food is next level. We ordered everything family style so I felt like I got to try a little of every type of dish offered. My egg drop soup was very hot, just how I like it. The perfect starter on a cold day. Whether it was chicken, beef, or shrimp, The Orient nailed it. I get the hype now.

We recently went here for a birthday celebration with the family and were not disappointed. Old school large portions of delicious Chinese food at reasonable prices. The only negative is that they have no dessert. I would have liked to order a family portion of mixed ice cream and pineapples. All and all, a great experience. I will definitely be back.
