Customer Reviews
One of my favorite food spots in SSF. I've come back repeatedly for the combination pan-fried crispy noodle, the Singapore style curry rice noodle, and the buns and milk tea. I love the vibes in here, It really does feel like a night market in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Prices are reasonable, there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, you can have your dogs at the outdoor tables.
This restaurant has some flavorful asian dishes really tasty. I try W11, which is the singapore noodles had me go back for seconds in the same day. I like the decor and layout of the eatery. Very spacious and they even have an out door patio. The menu is easy to understand. The staff are kind and friendly. Food is made to order. I recommend this restaurant.
Pros: Love the menu, I think it’s very interesting and brought back memories when I was in night market back in china/hk/taiwan. Price were not bad either. Cons: It took them so long to bring the first dish. We had big order and it took them 20 mins to make noodles and curry balls. The complimentary tea was amazing. Perfect sweetness and really refreshing. Food: love the bbq pork and pork belly. Unlike typical roasted pork belly that’s very fatty and almost inedible, their version is very lean, flavorful, and delicious. Curry balls: was ok, flavor’s a bit weak. Seems like it’s too watered down. Lamb fried rice: was good, but probably could go a little lighter on msg. Noodle cart: looks really good and flavorful, but could go a little thicker and bold. Chicken skin with salted egg yolk: this is the worst and most disgusting dish out of all. Not only it’s oily and overcooked, it gave me heartburn and acid reflux. I’ll skip this next time. Seating arrangements is a little small, no ac and a little bit messy but that’s probably to build the mood.
So, several years ago the first night market opened next to Spruce Cafe & Patisserie. It was chaotic then & they decided to remodel. This Night Market is the remodeled version. The space/layout is relatively the same but there’s no more street noises being projected in the back wall like it did before. When I crave for a bao, I got to this place because you get the best value. The roast pork belly is the game changer for me. For $12, you get two baos with hoisin sauce, green onions and the roasted pork belly. It also comes with mayo but I always tell them to put it on the side! Just trust me when I say this is good :) I also get the marinated quail eggs here. You normally get 8 of them but lately, it’s been 10 pieces so just be aware of that. It is a must when you just want to hang and chill with friends! Other recommendations: • Popcorn Chicken • Passionfruit Jasmine Tea with Aiyu Jelly • Salted Egg Yolk Fried Chicken Skin (warning though, it can be oily & it really should be shared with bunch of people!) • Mixed Sauce Mini Rice Noodle PS. the coffee place next door is definitely a much. definitely recommending them highly!
Hong Kong street kind of theme. They have a lot of dishes to choose. Food tasted okay and vibes good. On the other hand, I noticed that they waste too many plastic bowls and utensils. I don’t think they care about that much. Shrimp dumplings and popcorn chicken tasted great. It’s a bit too pricey for Cantonese street food though. Overall, it was okay.
