The Monk’s Indian Bistro

Monk's has been my top choice for Indian cuisine in Houston for quite some time, so when they opened a location in Humble, I couldn’t have been more excited. Fortunately, the experience has lived up to expectations every single time. The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of dishes, all bursting with bold, authentic flavors. The Indo-Chinese style fried rice and noodles are standout options, each bite as flavorful as the last. The biryanis are perfectly spiced and incredibly aromatic, and I can’t recommend the non-veg starters enough — they’re consistently outstanding. For a refreshing finish, the mango lassi and masala tea are both excellent choices. The servers are always friendly and accommodating, making the overall dining experience even better. Monk’s in Humble has quickly become my go-to spot for satisfying, high-quality Indian food in the area. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you're sure to be impressed.

Our experience at the monks in the bistro was outstanding. This is our first time here and the restaurant was clean very well lit and an atmosphere suitable for business meetings during the week or brunch in the afternoon on the weekend.

Love love love this place! No fast food dining experience here!!! The food is above par, the service is great, and portion sizes are more than enough to satiate any appetite! We will definitely be visiting this location again! Thank you to The Monk’s for such an amazing dining experience!

Yesterday, our ongoing trip from Houston got cancelled due to weather and we were forced to spend a night over. By the time we got through all the formalities of hotel and rental car. It was closer to 10 PM. We called the restaurant and asked them to see if they can accommodate four of us, and we will try and be there before they close. We reached 10 minutes prior to closing and they accommodated us. We saw the cooks and most of the staff leaving and assumed the worst and thought you would get some stale food. But surprisingly, the food was excellent. cold Taj beer, followed by hot garlic naan, tandoori roti and We ordered the Paneer Kadai, chettinad spicy chicken, and chicken biryani. Biriyani totally floored me as it was fluffy and spicy, and so tasty that we went gaga over it and completely wiped the plates clean. The guys behind the counter, very helpful, cheerful, and had the patience to take eight of our meal vouchers given by United and they entered of the credit cards manually. All in all, highly recommended, both for the food, the ambience, and a good nature folks behind the counter. Five stars all the way!!!!

I've had takeout from The Monk's other locations before and have always been impressed with the food. This experience way exceeded my expectations. Their vegetarian menu is extensive, and everything that we had was exceptional. The tandoori momos are quite the innovation; the manchuria is extremely tasty, and the vegetarian kheema biryani is bursting with flavor. I would happily return here. Great value and great service.
