About THE IMPERIAL TREASURE
Welcome to a detailed introduction of THE IMPERIAL TREASURE, a Chinese restaurant located at 14815 Ballantyne Village Way #250, Charlotte, NC 28277, USA. Situated within the Chinese Restaurant platform category, THE IMPERIAL TREASURE aims to provide a sophisticated dining experience with a diverse menu of Chinese specialties. For inquiries or to make reservations, you can contact them at their phone number (704) 817-7015 or their mobile number +1 704-817-7015.
Based on customer reviews, the environment of THE IMPERIAL TREASURE is described as being located on the "second floor" of its building. The restaurant appears to be relatively new and is "still working on its interior design and getting ready for the bar." This suggests that while the establishment is currently operational, it may be in the process of further developing its ambiance and facilities. Despite ongoing interior work, one reviewer noted the service to be "great," indicating that the operational aspects of the restaurant are well-managed. The restaurant also seems to have the "capacity to host large groups," making it a potential venue for gatherings and events. However, parking was noted as "somehow difficult," with the "parking lot in the front" being "free but super busy especially during meal time." This is an important consideration for potential visitors, suggesting they may need to factor in time for finding parking, especially during peak hours.
In terms of services, THE IMPERIAL TREASURE offers a dine-in experience, as indicated by customers visiting for "weekend lunch" and having food served to their table. The service is praised as "great" and "friendly," suggesting a positive and attentive dining experience. The "pace of food serving to the table was comforting," indicating that the restaurant manages the flow of dishes well, allowing diners to enjoy their meal without feeling rushed or having long waits between courses. While the reviews primarily focus on the dine-in experience, it is common for Chinese restaurants to also offer takeout services. Given the positive remarks about the food quality, it is plausible that THE IMPERIAL TREASURE also provides takeout options for customers who prefer to enjoy their meals elsewhere. To confirm the availability of takeout or delivery services, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly.
The features of THE IMPERIAL TREASURE's cuisine are diverse and include a variety of dishes, with specific mentions of dim sum and several main courses. The "Dim sum tasted good but pricey," indicating that while the quality of their dim sum is appreciated, it might be positioned at a higher price point compared to other establishments. Among the main courses, the "Chongqing Spicy chicken was satisfying," with the reviewer noting the "taste of the peppercorn was pretty obvious," a characteristic of authentic Sichuan cuisine. They also appreciated the "bone-in option," finding the "wing meat tasted better than breast." The "Fish was Pickled Cabbage in Golden Soup" was another well-received dish, with the reviewer choosing the "sea bass option." A minor suggestion was that they wished for "more tofu in it," indicating the presence of this ingredient but perhaps in a smaller quantity than desired.
Other dishes that received positive feedback include the "pork soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings," both described as "great." The "spicy wontons were very good but quite spicy," serving as a warning for those sensitive to heat. The "Chicken Lo Mein and Singapore Noodles were awesome!" indicating well-prepared and flavorful noodle dishes. In contrast, the "Dan Dan noodles had an interesting flavor but were super spicy," with one reviewer unable to eat more than a few bites. This highlights that THE IMPERIAL TREASURE offers dishes with varying levels of spiciness, with some being particularly intense, catering to different preferences. The reviewer who found the Dan Dan noodles too spicy noted that "If you’re a spice person you will love it."
The menu appears to showcase a range of Chinese culinary traditions, including dim sum, Sichuan specialties (like Chongqing chicken and Dan Dan noodles), and popular noodle and seafood dishes. The use of specific ingredients like peppercorn in the Chongqing chicken and pickled cabbage in the fish soup suggests an effort towards authentic flavors. The positive feedback on multiple dishes indicates a generally high quality of food preparation. The mention of the dim sum being pricey could suggest the use of premium ingredients or a more refined preparation style.
The fact that the restaurant "can see that the restaurant is still working on its interior design and getting ready for the bar" suggests a potential future expansion of their offerings and ambiance, which might attract more guests and provide a wider range of services in the future. This could include a more developed bar menu and an enhanced dining environment once the interior work is completed.

Went there with friends for weekend lunch. Descent menu offerings. The restaurant is on the second floor. Great service. Dim sum tasted good but pricey. The pace of food serving to the table was comforting. Chongqing Spicy chicken was satisfying, as the taste of the peppercorn was pretty obvious (comparing to some places where it’s only hot pepper). Glad they offered the bone-in option; wing meat tasted better than breast. Fish was Pickled Cabbage in Golden Soup was another good choice - we went with the sea bass option - I wish there were more tofu in it. I can see that the restaurant is still working on its interior design and getting ready for the bar. Hope it would be able to serve more guests and more offerings in the near future. They also have the capacity to host large groups. Parking was somehow difficult. The parking lot in the front was free but super busy especially during meal time.
All the food was delicious! We tried the pork soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings both great. The spicy wontons were very good but quite spicy so watch out. Chicken Lo Mein and Singapore Noodles were awesome! The Dan Dan noodles had an interesting flavor but were super spicy couldn’t eat more than a few bites. If you’re a spice person you will love it.
This place just opened, and everything we tried was delicious! We had crab and pork soup dumplings which were a burst of flavor. We also tried the spicy wontons which I highly recommend if you like a little spice and a lot of flavor. The most unique thing we tried was their Sticky Rice with Chicken that also has sausage, shiitake mushroom, duck egg yolk, and chicken. Every bite was a different experience with complex flavors. Lastly, we ordered their House fried rice which had everything in it and tasted amazing! They gave us a complementary order of scallion pancakes, and I’m so glad they did! We will definitely be returning and trying new things every time!
So happy to have a dim sum restaurant closer to us! The food was fantastic and the lunch service was quick. Highly recommend the garlic bok choy, pork soup dumplings, duck dumplings, and the steamed pork buns. My husband also enjoyed his tripe but I can’t speak to that one :-). They also gave us a free order of scallion pancakes which was a nice touch! We will definitely be back.
The food was so delicious and the portions are perfect! Everything came out pretty quickly and all looked so amazing. I’m a big dim sum gal and this lived up to my expectations. Great way to spend my Easter with family!
