Customers particularly enjoy the unique "haus special rolls," the perfectly steamed dumplings, flavorful cheese sticks, and the must-try sweet potato cheese balls. The bulgogi inari is also a favorite, surprisingly tasting like a crispy, savory fried egg despite being tofu. Other popular items include the rich tonkotsu ramen, cheesy and crispy cheese donkatsu plate, spicy beef rice cakes (ddukboki), and the fresh and filling beef kimbab. Notably, customers appreciate that the sushi rolls don't contain excessive rice, allowing them to enjoy more of the flavorful fillings.

Think we found our fave casual spot for high-end gourmet sushi rolls without the high-end prices! My friends and I shared 4 different haus special rolls along with some apps and they were all so delicious and unique. They don't stuff the rolls with so much rice, which we liked because we're watching our carbs and we were able to eat more. Sherry, our server was so friendly and helpful with the menu when we had questions. She even recommended us the Love is Blind roll which ended up being our favorite!
THE HAUS in Oakwood is hands down one of my favorite places to eat, and I don’t say that lightly—I’ve had almost their entire menu! Located in a shopping center next to Kroger, parking is always super easy. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food comes out fast, fresh, and consistently delicious. Let’s talk food—because EVERYTHING I’ve tried here has been amazing. The dumplings are perfectly steamed, their cheese sticks are super flavorful, and the sweet potato cheese balls are a unique must-try. Their inari, especially the bulgogi one, is one of my absolute favorites. I still can’t believe it’s tofu—it tastes like a crispy, savory fried egg. Their tonkotsu ramen is rich and comforting, the cheese donkatsu plate is cheesy and crispy in all the right ways, and the beef rice cakes (ddukboki) hit that spicy-satisfying note. I’ve also had their beef kimbab, which was fresh and filling. Even their sushi impressed me, and I’m usually picky about sushi! My only two minor gripes: I wish their seating was a bit roomier and I really wish they had a Coca-Cola fountain machine. But I grab a can of Coke Zero and still leave completely happy after every meal. This place offers a great variety of both Korean and Japanese dishes, and they do it all so well. If you’re in the area—or even if you’re not—it’s worth the trip. Can’t recommend them enough!
Second time coming here and was blown away again! This time I tried the Spicy Bulgogi Pork Rice Bowl which was delicious and full of flavor! My wife got the Sake Don which is similar to a Poke Bowl but way better. We also ordered a “For Your Girl” roll and that was awesome! The staff is always very helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. Will definitely be returning because there are several other things on the menu that I want to try. And judging by my two visits so far I’m sure I will not be disappointed!
Tonight we tried "The Haus" for the first time and it was absolutely the best. I had the Chicken Katsu which was cooked to perfection and it was almost bigger than the plate. My wife had the Sakedon (Salmon & Tuna sashimi bowl) which is almost like Hoedeopbap, and we shared a Love is Blind sushi roll. All the dishes were very well presented and super tasty. This restaurant is a true diamond for dining, take out or delivery in Oakwood / Flowery Branch area. We will be back again to try more items on the menu.
This is a small restaurant in the Oakwood Kroger shopping center. It's not large but does have a few booths and such for dinning in, and does a lot of "to go" business. It's quite busy for dinner so keep that in mind. It's simple, clean decor inside. A lot of dark warm wood tones. The food is great. Very delicious. They offer a selection of udon, ramen, tonkatsu and donkatsu and other stuff. 😁 The spicy broth for the ramen is🔥, so if you want heat you will get it. ☺️ We highly recommend the fried tofu and the sweet potato donkatsu, both are so so so good. Large portion; two could share it. 2nd time going...it's Christmas Eve dinner for 2024. Wow this place continues to impress me. The dumplings are hella good and definitely get two thumbs up 👍👍 🎅 I can't recommend this enough, the tonkatsu is just amazing. We have gotten the sweet potato twice now. Please check this out. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!
