It is important to note that despite being listed under the category of Chinese Restaurant, the name and reviews clearly indicate it is a halal restaurant.
One first-time customer tried The Halal Guys and ordered the Regular Platter with Beef Gyro and Chicken, extra Beef Gyro, and extra Side of Pita bread. They found the "Beef Gyro" to be "delicious" but the "chicken was not pleasant for me." The restaurant was described as "clean and organized," with a smooth flow of customers suggesting "a lot of regulars." This reviewer particularly enjoyed the "delicious" rice and the "homemade" white sauce with "some spices in their j didn’t recognize" and "loved it!!" They thought the "pita bread was too soft for me and doughy." Overall, their experience was "good." They also mentioned downloading the app with a promotion for a free drink and side but were told it couldn't be used on the first purchase.
Another customer stopped by for brunch on a Saturday and found the staff to be "nice and polite." They reported that the "Falafel and pita bread were good, freshly served." The "Hummus here was one of the best I had so far, tasted really good and fresh." They also noted that "The restroom was kept very clean and the place is tidy and clean too," as well as the "Ample parking and the outside dining is very nice place to be."
Based on these reviews, The Halal Guys in Dallas, TX, offers a clean and organized environment with polite staff. The beef gyro, rice, and hummus are highlighted as delicious and fresh. The falafel and pita bread are also considered good. However, one customer did not enjoy the chicken, and another found the pita bread too soft. The restaurant appears to have a strong regular customer base. They have a mobile app that may offer promotions, although there might be restrictions on first-time use. The restaurant provides ample parking and a nice outside dining area.
The environment is described as clean and organized, with a tidy interior and a clean restroom, as well as a nice outside dining area and ample parking. Services include dine-in and potentially takeout (given the nature of the food and the mention of the app). Key features include delicious beef gyro, rice, and hummus, good falafel and pita bread, a homemade white sauce with unique spices, and polite staff. A potential drawback for some might be the texture of the pita bread or the taste of the chicken. A promotion mentioned is a free drink and side upon downloading the app, although it may not be valid for the first purchase. The presence of many regulars suggests consistent quality for returning customers.

Tried this for the first time. Ordered the Regular Platter with Beef Gyro and Chicken and extra Beef Gyro, and extra Side of Pita bread. I recommend just getting the Beef Gyro it was delicious the chicken was not pleasant for me. It was clean and organized the woman greeted me it was busy but not chaotic like clockwork people came in and got their orders which means they have a lot of regulars I told her I have a feeling I will be a regular as well I love Gyros. They have it in a bowl and it’s a great idea the rice was delicious, the white sauce seemed homemade and had some spices in their j didn’t recognize and I loved it!! They did a great job! The pita bread was too soft for me and doughy I’m not a fan of it being that soft. But for the most part it was good. I downloaded the app to get a free drink and to try a side for free. When I told her I had just downloaded the app and was about to show her she said I couldn’t use it the first time. I have to make a purchase first and then I could add the receipt to the app. Which I thought was weird but apps do require different things. I don’t know why it was advertised in that way. I was happy to get the food and she was very polite I said no problem and agreed to pay for the drink. I did want to try a side as well. But I chose not too. Food was delicious and it’s nice to see this in this area…
We stopped here for brunch on Saturday 02/22. The staff were nice and polite. Falafel and pita bread were good, freshly served. Hummus here was one of the best I had so far, tasted really good and fresh . The restroom was kept very clean and the place is tidy and clean too. Ample parking and the outside dining is very nice place to be.
We stopped by this restaurant around 9 PM, only to find it dark and seemingly closed. Though we saw people inside, it looked like they turned off the lights and equipment to avoid attracting customers. It was disappointing and made us feel unwelcome, as if they didn’t want to serve us. We left It might be helpful if the owner checked in with their team to ensure that customers are greeted with a more inviting environment, even later in the evening
I go to this location all the time. I’m always met with a hello and friendly smiles. The food is great and the quality is always 100%. I usually spend $14 there which is more than I’d like butttt I usually get 2 meals out of it, so in my opinion that’s pretty good.
Really like this chain. I've been to 2 locations and they are both good. The only thing I have not tried is their falafel. Everything else is good especially with the hot and white sauce. Be careful with the hot sauce. It's not your typical hot sauce. A regular bowl will feed me twice. My only complaint is a regular bowl should come with more than 3 pieces of naan. 3 is not enough.
