The Gourmet Gang

Couldn’t for some reason leave a review for the Volvo location. I can’t believe I just paid $17 bucks for this sandwich. Paid extra for peppers literally got one sliver of pepper put over the entire sandwich. This place has gone so down hill. Never again. Can make my own sandwiches FAR better at home. Been going here for a decade. So unreal.

I ordered a delivery to my home. 2 Cobb salads. I just happen to check outside my door since it was 30 minutes past my delivery time. 2 salads with meat, eggs and cheese sitting on the ground in the sun. Have no idea how long they've been there. Didn't ring the door bell or knock. No email. No text or call to say it was there. Wasted $37.00 because I don't know if it's safe to eat.

I will never go to this place ever again. I called because the last time I got a salad there were barely any veggie toppings up there. I called to let them know, and at the end of the day I still ended up with a salad with barely any cucumbers and tomatoes, AND bad pieces of lettuce. Their customer service on top of that stinks. There is never an apology for it. Just excuses. A customer should never have to be victimized and made to feel like you're in the wrong when you are the one spending your money. I liked it when I first tried it, but they have gone way downhill. Whoever is in charge, please retrain on proper customer service. When a customer has an issue, you should never argue with them. I worked in customer service for 10 years, and I would have never done something like that. UNACCEPTABLE!!

The Virginia Beach Bonney Rd location does not deserve stars at all due to the abhorrent customer service, on an ongoing basis, specifically delivered by the manager "V". We have ordered EVERY week from this location for years, and every time there's an issue, "V" never starts off with an apology; instead, she goes back and forth with excuses. This location has served my husband spoiled chicken (discolored and smelly), and "V" tried to justify the problem, but then offered a depthless and insincere apology. Today, our salads had black, wilted, and withered lettuce in it. Instead of apologizing, she went on and on about the type of lettuce that was in the bag. My husband was very patient with her as she disregarded what he said and proceeded to over talk him, so I took the phone.Then of course, she became defensive. I concluded the call by informing her we have opted to no longer order from that location and her response was "ok, thank you". Having the opportunity to service customers for most of my life, I couldn't imagine having anyone on my staff who has no regard for the customer experience.

I want to give a big shout out to Tamara at Gourmet Gang on Bonney Road. I had a large order for a client meeting today. Tamara took the order around 10:15 am for 10+ - salads, wraps, chips, cookies and drinks. Quite a few orders had substitions. The food arrived perfectly and on time at 11:45 am the same day. Everyone's name was on the order which made it easy for me to set up. Everyone enjoyed their meal! Tamara and Gourmet Gang - thanks for making our lunch a success and making it so easy for me!!!
