The Golden Goose

I stumbled upon this place It being my first time in San Antonio and while being here I experienced amazing customer service and instantly felt welcomed. The owners father welcomed me with open arms and I even got to meet the owner and recipe master as well. The Korean radish soup filled me with warmth like comfort food would and the chicken was phenomenal. They are a family owned business this is their second venture and I ended up staying for hours. The vibes are unmatched the beautiful works of art that completely cover the place gives it so much character I couldn't stop looking. The owner even made some of the pieces themselves. As a native NYer this can easily stand up to the Korean places there. If you ever need Korean food in San Antonio make sure you patronize Golden Goose. ✨

A MUST TRY for anyone wanting Korean food. Stopped in late evening... Place is off of the downtown area...great food recommendations, very friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing! Flavours were incredible.

Whoever came up with the idea of combining korean fried chicken and chicken sandwiches, I salute you 🫡 The fried chicken was incredibly flavorful and whatever was sprinkled on top of the chicken gave more texture and crunch, which went super well with the soft milk bread toast! The kimchi was also super yummy and had a nice bright taste - I actually wish I could ask for the recipe for the kimchi. The service was excellent and my friend and I really enjoyed looking at the decor around the restaurant as well! If you parked in the parking structure, you can actually get your parking validated so you don't need to pay for parking. Just ask for the QR code that validates your parking :)

Was looking for a place to eat while staying on the river. Most of the restaurants within walking distance were unappealing to me but I’m so glad I found this gem because the food was top tier and it’s a nice vibe in there. Zach was running the front and his service was above and beyond. I had the spicy pork bulgogi and they didn’t miss a beat, everything about it was exceptional. Highly recommend

A very cute and cozy casual restaurant. The counter is self-service, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the pork bulgogi with rice and ordered a side of fries. I’m quite picky when it comes to bulgogi, and was pleasantly surprised with The Golden Goose’s pork bulgogi! Not only was our food served quickly, the pork bulgogi was cooked to perfection. It had the right amount of heat to it and the rice was the perfect companion. Hands down, they have the crispiest fries! Loved our experience. 10/10 would eat again.
