The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings, located at 12963 SW 112th St in Miami, Florida, has been a part of the local culinary scene since the 1990s. As a family-owned and run establishment, this Chinese restaurant prides itself on preparing its food in-house, offering a traditional approach to Chinese-American cuisine. While customer experiences appear to vary, The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings has garnered a loyal following over the years, with some patrons considering it one of their favorite Chinese restaurants in all of Miami.

Based on the available reviews, the atmosphere of The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings is described as "pleasant and clean." One reviewer, who did not dine at the restaurant but observed the interior, made a point to commend the cleanliness and appealing ambiance. This suggests that the restaurant strives to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for its customers.

In terms of service, at least one customer reported an "excellent" experience with a young female staff member, highlighting positive and attentive service. This indicates that the restaurant values customer interaction and aims to provide a pleasant dining experience through its staff.

The culinary offerings at The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings have elicited a range of reactions from customers. One reviewer praised the steamed dumplings as being "good (as most Chinese rest. Do)." However, this same reviewer expressed significant disappointment with the Homestyle fried rice, noting that the meats were chopped so finely that they were unrecognizable. This critique suggests potential inconsistencies in the preparation or quality of certain dishes.

Conversely, other long-term patrons have consistently lauded the food quality. One reviewer, who has been a customer since the 1990s, stated that they have "never had a sub-par experience" with the food, describing it as "always been excellent." This customer also highlighted the "generous portions" offered at "fair prices," making it a great value for the amount of food received. Another enthusiastic reviewer declared The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings as offering "hands down the best Chinese food in the entire city," emphasizing their strong positive opinion of the restaurant's cuisine.

A particularly popular dish mentioned by a long-time customer is the Peking Chicken, which they described as "absolutely amazing" and a source of "random cravings." This suggests that the Peking Chicken is a standout item on the menu and a favorite among some of the restaurant's clientele. The reviewer also specifically mentioned that the restaurant avoids using "canned overly-breaded chicken crap" that is common in some other Chinese establishments, implying a commitment to using fresh and quality ingredients prepared in-house.

The contrasting reviews highlight the subjective nature of taste and dining experiences. While some customers have had consistently positive experiences with the food quality, portion sizes, and prices, others have found certain dishes to be unsatisfactory. It's important for potential customers to consider this range of feedback when making their decision.

The fact that The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings is family-owned and run often contributes to a sense of personal care and attention to detail. This type of establishment often fosters a connection with the local community and strives to maintain a reputation for quality and service over the long term, as evidenced by their presence since the 1990s.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings based on the provided reviews. The focus is primarily on customer experiences with the food, service, and atmosphere.

In conclusion, The Chinese Restaurant Of Crossings in Miami has been serving the community for over three decades as a family-owned and operated establishment. While opinions on the food vary, with some customers praising the consistently excellent quality and generous portions, particularly the Peking Chicken, others have expressed disappointment with specific dishes like the Homestyle fried rice. The atmosphere is noted as pleasant and clean, and at least one instance of excellent service was reported. Potential diners may find value in the fair prices and the restaurant's long-standing presence in the community, but should also be aware of the mixed feedback regarding the food quality of certain menu items.

The service by the young lady was excellent. I am doing this review because I promised her to do it. The atmosphere looks pleasant and clean even though I haven't eaten here. However, the food was not great (see pic). I ordered steamed dumplings and Homestyle fried rice. The dumplings were good (as most Chinese rest. Do) but the rice was not good. The meats were chopped so tiny that I couldn't figure out what I was eating, let alone see what kind of meat? I have read other reviews, some with pictures, which convinced me not to stop here for food. I'm so sorry, but I needed to be honest as I don't want anyone else to be completely disappointed with this restaurant's food.

I've been ordering from and coming to this restaurant since the 90s and it's always been one of my favorites in all of Miami. The establishment is family-owned and run. The food is made in-house. None of that canned overly-breaded chicken crap a lot of other places try to pass off as Chinese food. Generous portions for fair prices. Peking Chicken is absolutely amazing. I get random cravings for it! I don't know what these poorer reviews are talking about as I've never had a sub-par experience with their food. Food has always been excellent and portions big enough that I have leftovers, which is impressive for the prices. It's a great restaurant to go to with a group and share different dishes. Hands down the best Chinese food in the entire city, in my opinion

Disappointing Experience with Overcooked Honey Garlic Chicken I was really looking forward to trying this Chinese restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered the honey garlic chicken, and it was overcooked and dry. The chicken was tough and lacked the juicy tenderness that I expected. The honey garlic sauce, which should have been a highlight, did little to salvage the dish. It was overly sweet and lacked depth in flavor. Given the positive reviews, I had high hopes, but this visit was a letdown. I hope the restaurant can address these issues and improve the quality of their dishes in the future. Until then, I can’t recommend it based on my recent experience.

The Chinese Restaurant is a classic. It’s been around since the 90’s ranking best Chinese takeout in 2008-9. The food is standard Chinese with their own magic twist that is uniquely theirs. Their specials are what gives you the most for your buck and if business is anything to go by then everyone else agrees too. If you choose to eat in house know that it’s like eating at grandma’s house. The food is homey. I will say, I’ve been coming here for some time and today I did notice a change in the food. The rice grains were different, and the egg roll also tasted different from usuals (can’t decide if this is good or not yet, but I will update this review based on a future visit) There are many locals that you will see come in and eat. You find comfort in that. The place inside is often quiet, sort of like an unspoken rule, so I’d suggest adhering to it because everyone likes it. Beyond that if you meet the owner he is a gem, super kind and always willing to strike a conversation with you. My favorite dishes are the orange chicken, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, and their wonton soup. Their service is not super fast but not incredibly slow either, I’d say it’s calm comfortable and I think it speaks to their whole aesthetic.
