Customer reviews for The Blueberry Muffin offer a mixed experience, particularly regarding service. However, the food is generally well-received. One reviewer raved about the "incredible" biscuits and gravy, claiming they were "the best I have ever had." They also praised the eggs and crab cakes, which were served "hot and fresh," and the "from scratch" home fries and freshly made waffles. The blueberry muffins were described as "ok." They also spoke highly of their waitress, describing her as "fun and efficient" and recommended the cafe.

In contrast, another reviewer had a significantly less positive experience with the service and atmosphere. They described the initial interaction as "cold," noting a long wait despite numerous open tables. They observed servers cleaning tables but then congregating and talking, and they felt seated in an "unpleasant manner." They also mentioned being informed they were too late for the morning special and experiencing delays in receiving coffee and placing their order. While they acknowledged that the food was "good" and the portions were adequate, they felt the overall experience was marred by the "less than friendly atmosphere," suggesting the restaurant prioritized profit over hospitality.

In summary, The Blueberry Muffin is known for its delicious breakfast dishes, particularly the biscuits and gravy, crab cakes, and home fries. However, customer reviews indicate inconsistent service and atmosphere. Potential customers should be aware of these mixed reviews and adjust their expectations accordingly. If the food is the primary focus, the restaurant may be worth a visit. If you are looking for an extremely welcoming atmosphere, this may not be the location for you.

The biscuits and gravy are incredible!!!!!! The best I have ever had! The eggs and crab cakes where delicious and served hot and fresh. The home fries are made from scratch. The waffle was freshly made. The blueberry muffins are ok. We really enjoyed our waitress she was fun and efficient and the sister of the lovely lady running the places. She took great care of us and we would definitely recommend The Blueberry Muffin Cafe !!!!

Always heard that the Blueberry Muffin is a great place to eat so we checked it out. We enjoyed the food, but the service and atmosphere shared by the employees was very disappointing. Upon entering the restaurant with plenty of open tables we were told in a very “cold” tone that we needed to wait by the door until a hostess could seat us, which took a long time. While we were waiting we watched servers cleaning all of the open tables, then watched them huddle together in a corner talking, and then again in a cold and unpleasant manner we were seated with out any welcome or friendly hospitality. We were told that we were too late for the morning special (0930) and that they would have to comeback to bring us coffee and to get our order Food was good, not big portions but enough and due to the less than friendly atmosphere our experience ended up being just another restaurant serving food so they can make a profit.

It was 10 years I moved to the area and went there, I was intrigued by the amount of cars in the parking lot. Back then the food was unremarkable, average at best. I went again this month, I was disappointed, the dish in the picture is more than $14 dollars. No presentation of food and if I want to get food like that it just like a cheap motel continental breakfast. Given the price there I don’t consider worth it since places nearby offer better food with same price and water views.

Came here for breakfast on a weekday. Quickly seated. I had the corned beef hash with over easy eggs and a side of breakfast potatoes with peppers & onions. Husband had the country fried steak with sausage gravy and eggs with potatoes. And a biscuit. I also had a blueberry muffin that was split and toasted. All of it was very very good. Would eat here again. Would recommend.

Quaint little place. Greeted and seated promptly. Prices are not terrible for today. Server was ok. Sensed a bit of an attitude shift when I asked if they had a military discount. Which they don't and is really no big deal. She never asked how any of the food was. The food: Blueberry muffin was stodgy, tasted like Bisquick, and almost no blueberry flavor. Home fries cooked well, but no seasoning at all Eggs were cooked perfectly Quiche flavor good, but had a very chewy crust Chicken fried steak was terrible. Very thin, weird gritty feel to the coating, cheap bottom of the barrel frozen garbage patty. Gravy straight out of the can. Left the restaurant with a greasy film in my mouth. Times are tough, food costs are up, but don't cheap out so much the quality suffers like it does here. Bottom line, it's a once and done.
