About Thanks Giving

Welcome to Thanks Giving, your neighborhood Chinese restaurant nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, specifically at 1736 Nostrand Ave, NY 11226, USA. As a cornerstone of the local culinary scene, Thanks Giving offers a wide array of classic Chinese dishes, catering to those seeking a quick, satisfying, and reasonably priced meal. Whether you're a long-time resident of Flatbush or a visitor to the area, Thanks Giving provides a convenient option for enjoying authentic Chinese flavors.

Thanks Giving primarily operates as a takeout establishment, focusing on efficiency and providing customers with their favorite dishes promptly. According to customer feedback, the service is generally fast, making it an ideal choice for a quick lunch or dinner when you're on the go. While some reviewers have noted that the customer service might not be the most exceptional, the emphasis remains on delivering your order accurately and swiftly.

A standout feature of Thanks Giving, as highlighted by patrons, is the generous portion sizes, particularly within their combo platters. These platters offer a substantial amount of food at a well-perceived value, making them a popular choice for those looking for a fulfilling meal without breaking the bank. This makes Thanks Giving an excellent option for individuals and families alike who appreciate good food at an affordable price point.

The menu at Thanks Giving features familiar and beloved Chinese takeout staples. Based on customer reviews, popular choices include the pork fried rice and sesame chicken. These dishes are described as "good" and "delicious," suggesting a consistent quality in their preparation. You can likely expect to find other classic dishes such as General Tso's chicken, lo mein, various soup options, and a selection of appetizers that are typical of a traditional Chinese takeout restaurant.

The ambiance of Thanks Giving is described as what one might typically expect from a Chinese food place in the Flatbush area. This suggests a no-frills, functional environment primarily geared towards efficient takeout service rather than an elaborate dine-in experience. Customers looking for a casual and unpretentious setting to quickly pick up their food will find the atmosphere fitting for its purpose.

An important point to note for potential customers is that Thanks Giving currently operates as a cash-only business. This is a crucial piece of information to keep in mind when planning your visit or placing an order. Ensuring you have cash on hand will streamline your transaction and avoid any inconvenience.

While online reviews are generally positive regarding the food quality and value, it's important to consider all feedback. The mention of "customer service is not the best" suggests that while the focus is on the food itself, interactions might be brief or less personalized. However, the consistent praise for the taste and portion sizes indicates that Thanks Giving excels in what many consider the most important aspect of a takeout restaurant: the food.

The comment "No bugs in my food" while seemingly straightforward, subtly reinforces a basic expectation of food safety and hygiene. This reassurance, even if mentioned in a somewhat humorous way, can be important for potential customers.

For those seeking a reliable Chinese takeout option in the Nostrand Avenue area of Brooklyn, Thanks Giving offers a combination of tasty food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. Their focus on classic dishes ensures that you can find your familiar favorites, prepared with an emphasis on speed and value. While the atmosphere is typical of a takeout establishment and cash is the only accepted form of payment, the positive feedback regarding the food itself makes Thanks Giving a worthy consideration for your next Chinese meal.

Food is good: I got the pork fried rice and sesame chicken. Customer service is not the best. The atmosphere is what you expect from a Chinese food place in Flatbush. No bugs in my food. The only thing that bugged me was they only take cash.
