About Thai-namite at Milwaukee Public Market

Thai-namite at Milwaukee Public Market is situated within the bustling Milwaukee Public Market at 400 N Water St in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While listed under the platform category of Chinese Restaurant, customer reviews indicate that it specializes in Thai cuisine.

One customer initially reported a "horrible experience" with a take-out order of fried rice with tofu. They stated that the tofu was missing, the rice was "wet and soggy" and surprisingly sweet despite requesting the highest spice level. This customer also described difficulties in obtaining a refund due to a cash payment and expressed frustration with a lack of follow-up from the manager after multiple calls. However, an update from the same reviewer indicates that the restaurant subsequently reached out and resolved the issue to their satisfaction.

In contrast, other customers have had positive experiences. One reviewer praised the "high quality food," specifically highlighting "THE BEST Holy Basil (tofu)" and "one of the best drunken noodles." They noted a $2 extra charge for adding chicken, but still found it "worth it once in a while." They also described the Thai tea as being of "WOW quality." This customer was so impressed with the Holy Basil that they returned for a second order later the same day, this time accompanied by another person.

Based on these reviews, Thai-namite at Milwaukee Public Market appears to offer high-quality Thai dishes, with the Holy Basil and drunken noodles being particularly popular. The Thai tea is also well-regarded. However, there has been a reported instance of an incorrect order and difficulties in resolving a refund issue, although this was eventually rectified by the restaurant reaching out to the customer. The positive feedback regarding food quality, especially for specific dishes, suggests that Thai-namite is a worthwhile option for Thai food within the Public Market, but customers should ensure the accuracy of their orders, particularly for take-out.

Update: the restaurant reached out to me and made things right. I’m happy with the resolution! Horrible experience!! I went to this branch only because the Tosa branch (which is AMAZING!!) is closed on Mondays. I placed an order for fried rice with tofu for take out and when I came home and opened the box, there was no tofu. Moreover, the rice itself was wet and soggy and was sweet in spite of me asking for the highest spice level. Called the store immediately for a refund, but because I paid cash it was a little tricky to process it and was told that the employee (who was very nice!) would speak to the manager and try to find a solution. After receiving no follow up call, I called again and was told that the manager would call back and “take care of it” by the next day. I’m still waiting for a call… Would’ve given 0 stars if possible!!

High quality food. THE BEST Holy Basil (tofu) and one of the best drunken noodles!!! Didn’t like having to pay $2 EXTRA for chicken as well but it’s worth it once in a while. The Thai tea was WOW quality lol. Even came back second time in one day (second time with my darling) because first time I had just the Holy Basil. Was so good.

One of the best stops for lunch to go / pick up in the 3rd ward area downtown. The lunch specials are a good go-to. You can get one or two entrees. It’s been my go to, but today I did notice the price was $3 more than what was marketed on their chalkboard. Grab a meal to go, stay at their bar, or take it upstairs. You can park in the public market and get a free 1 hour voucher as long as you save your receipt.

If you’re looking for delicious and convenient food in the Milwaukee Public Market, look no further than Thai-namite! This delightful spot offers an incredible array of sushi and Thai dishes that are perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal. One of the highlights of our visits has been the wonderful quick grab-and-go items. Their spring rolls and pot stickers are simply fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a snack or light meal. But our absolute favorites are the steam buns! They are incredibly soft, packed with delicious fillings, and always hit the spot. What truly sets Thai-namite apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready with great recommendations. Their enthusiasm for the food really adds to the experience and makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend checking out Thai-namite if you're in the area. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, Thai food, or just a quick bite, you won’t be disappointed. This place has quickly become one of our go-to spots, and we can’t wait to return for more delicious eats!

Awesome sushi place inside the public market. The sushi and fried rice tasted fresh and were served hot. Though it was crowded the staff processed orders in a reasonable time.
