Customer reviews consistently praise Thai Koji & Sushi Bar for its authentic Thai food and excellent service. One reviewer highly recommends the restaurant, emphasizing the "fresh and flavorful" dishes, with "grandma cooking up dishes in the back." They specifically highlighted the "great" drunken noodles, especially when ordered "Thai hot," and the "best" Thai beef noodle soup they've had in town, praising the "amazing" broth. They declared that "all the dishes I've tried are always flavorful" and that the restaurant "does not disappoint," leading them to become a regular customer.

Another reviewer gave the service a "5 star" rating but provided a "4 star" rating for the food. They praised the Tom Kha soup, giving it a "5/5" rating, but found the Fire Dragon roll to be "3/5" due to an undescribed "Smokey sauce" that "hurt the dish." They rated the sweet and sour fish "4/5" but noted that the skin made it "chewy." Despite these mixed reviews on some sushi items, they expressed excitement to return and try other dishes like the Pad Thai and fried rice.

In summary, Thai Koji & Sushi Bar is highly regarded for its authentic Thai cuisine, with consistently fresh and flavorful dishes. The excellent service is also a significant highlight. While some sushi items may receive mixed reviews, the Thai dishes, particularly the drunken noodles and Thai beef noodle soup, are highly praised. This place is a must try if you like Thai food. Food is always fresh and flavorful, with grandma cooking up dishes in the back. The drunken noodles are great, especially Thai hot. The Thai beef noodle soup is the best I've had in town. The broth is amazing! All the dishes I've tried are always flavorful. This place does not disappoint so much so that I've become a regular. Yes the soup is that good!

Service was 5 star! I’m giving 4 star for the food we ordered. Tom Kha soup was 5/5, Fire Dragon roll was 3/5… they put a Smokey sauce on top that wasn’t described in the menu item description and it hurt the dish. The sweet and sour fish was 4/5, we didn’t like how the skin was on it, made it chewy. Excited to come back and try other items like the Pad Thai and Fried Rice.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch of Pad Thai with chicken & vegetables including carrots, mushrooms, scallions, broccoli and minced pork omelette with rice, Thai iced tea.

they put furikake on their sushi which is a mix of bonito fish flakes and sesame seeds. my family doesn't like that. I asked about bonito flakes before I ordered and they told me they wouldn't but then the sushi chef put it on anyway. their ingredients are more authentic than other Asian places in the area and they're really nice and try hard but speaking English is not their forte. so just be a little flexible and you'll get something really tasty.

I have tried just about every Thai place in Melbourne. I have to say I am extremely happy to have found this small cute and welcoming place. Without having been to Thailand personally, If I had to imagine what a Thai home cook meal tastes like. This place will be on top of the list. Top 3 on Melbourne imho. Place is owned by a family, Mom (the chef) dad, daughter and brother. The daughter (Amm) or something like that is extremely serviceable, polite, and friendly. The food! Oh my... really delicious flavor. You can tell everything is fresh and cook to order. If you haven't given this place a try yet. I would highly recommend it. They have earned my business and loyalty without a doubt. Sushi is on point!
