The food was not quite what we are used to. My step mother was Thai and my wife and I have spent close to a years worth of time in Thailand. I'm thinking this was either slightly americanized or some short cuts had been taken. On the pad kra pao, one piece of beef did not taste fresh and in the wee hours I had a eruption of sorts. We love thai food but in this case none of us loved our meals. The saving grace regarding the food was the thai tea and Boba being decent. Initially the staff was pleasant but when we were trying to check out things were awkward. Nothing obvious, no disagreements and I still tipped well but it was simply a weird vibe. Did they not want us to leave?

The Lettuce served on the Chicken Lemon Grass was old and dry like if it was refrigerated, maybe they think people don’t notice these things, the white rice was tasteless but other than that the Crab Rice was very well done and the Tom Kair Soup and service were great. Great waitresses and customer care. They have a band on the weekend and it’s extremely entertaining seeing Thai musicians playing international music for you. Not much selection to pick for vegans and kosher taste.

Went today, and I just wanted to try something different. And Thai Hut didn't disappoint! I had the Drunken Nuddles with Chicken! This plate is delicious! Also had the hot and sour soup! That's the best hot and sour soup I've ever had! Our waitress was very helpful and very friendly. It's one of my wife's favorite restaurants, and I can see why. This place won't disappoint!

I gave this location four stars for atmosphere because of on entering the restaurant, it was very pleasant. Quiet and spacious with enough room for the many patrons that were there. It took a couple of minutes for any of the servers to notice my son and I before we receded. I know this restaurant is not a high-end fancy place, but none of the servers or workers had any type of friendly disposition. We ordered our food. The food itself was tasty, but extremely spicy when I asked her to not add too much spice. I had made it about 3/4 of the way through my dish and found a gnat in my soup. It was not floating as if it had just landed there. It was submerged. There were a couple of gnats flying around and that should have been my first red flag. I brought my dish with the gnat to the attention of the older lady and she played it off stating “Oh yes, there are gnats flying around a lot” as if that was going to make me feel better about eating the rest of the meal. I did not pay for the meal after that and my son and I walked out. I am not okay with eating at an establishment where a worker is okay with admitting there are bugs in the environment so nonchalantly.

Ugh! Called in an order for pickup. I specifically asked for “steamed” tofu on our two orders of Pad See Ew. On our Yellow Curry, I skipped the tofu, since we thought we’d have plenty from our entrees and asked for extra veggies instead. Not only did they give us “fried” tofu on both entrees, but they also didn’t give us extra veggies on the curry. When I got home, I called to complain and was told the kitchen only had fried tofu so they substituted it. Huh? Like without calling me? We don’t eat meat, so this is a big deal for us. I think they were trying to get rid of their extra fried cubes and loaded us up on it. Look at that picture…hardly any noodles or veggies. Plus the only flavor is soy sauce. This place has gone downhill, but their prices sure haven’t! Last time for us. No wonder there was just one couple dining in. Do yourself a favor and try Sukhothai about 3 miles west down Potranco. Ten times better!
