About Teriyaki Wok
Located at 16256 Military Rd S #110, SeaTac, WA 98188, Teriyaki Wok operates as a local establishment offering Chinese and Teriyaki cuisine. For inquiries or to place an order, they can be reached at (206) 444-6520 or via mobile at +1 206-444-6520. However, it is important to note that customer reviews indicate potential issues with phone service, particularly during evening hours, with reports of calls not being taken or being hung up on.
As a business operating within the broader category of Chinese Restaurants, Teriyaki Wok aims to provide quick and convenient meals, characteristic of a fast-casual dining establishment. Their menu typically features popular Chinese dishes alongside various teriyaki options, catering to a wide range of local tastes. The emphasis appears to be on efficient food preparation and serving, appealing to customers looking for a quick and satisfying meal.
The environment at Teriyaki Wok, specifically for dine-in, is described as "flawed due to short staff." This suggests that while there is seating available, the upkeep of the dining area might be impacted by staffing levels. A reviewer recommended "self serve cleaning supplies for tables," implying that customers might need to take initiative to ensure their dining space is clean. This indicates a very casual, possibly no-frills, dining experience, where the focus is primarily on getting the food to the customer quickly rather than providing a full-service restaurant ambiance. For those considering dine-in, this aspect of the environment is worth noting.
The service at Teriyaki Wok presents a mixed and concerning picture based on customer reviews. While one review mentions "Great & straightforward customer service," other feedback raises significant issues. There are reports of the owners being "kind of cold" towards customers and exhibiting unresponsiveness to phone calls, particularly in the evening, with instances of customers being "hung up on." More seriously, there are mentions from "other reviews mentioning their swearing at customers, racism, and littering." These are severe allegations that directly impact the customer experience and reputation of the establishment. The operational issue of not taking phone orders in the evening is also a significant barrier for customers who prefer to order ahead, especially if they get home later in the day. This inconsistency in service and the serious nature of some complaints are critical factors for potential customers to consider.
Regarding the food, the positive aspect highlighted in reviews is that "The food comes out hot, fresh, and fast." This indicates an efficient kitchen that prioritizes the quick delivery of freshly prepared meals. The portions are described as "enough for one," suggesting individual serving sizes that are adequate for a single meal rather than large, shareable family-style portions. Utensils and napkins are reportedly "prepared in the bag," which is a convenient feature for takeout orders, demonstrating attention to detail in packaging.
While specific dishes are not detailed in the provided reviews, the general mentions of "Chinese and Teriyaki" indicate a menu that likely includes staples such as various teriyaki chicken, beef, or tofu dishes, along with common Chinese American fare like fried rice, chow mein, and popular appetizers. The emphasis on "hot" and "fresh" suggests that the quality of preparation, at least in terms of temperature and immediate freshness, is a strength. However, the lack of specific dish recommendations makes it difficult to assess the culinary highlights beyond general freshness and speed.
Teriyaki Wok appears to be suitable for individuals or small groups looking for a quick and hot meal, particularly for takeout. Its fast service is a clear advantage for those on a tight schedule. However, the reported issues with phone service, the challenges with in-person dining ambiance due to potential understaffing, and the serious allegations regarding customer interactions suggest that potential patrons should consider these factors before visiting. For customers who prioritize speed and hot food and are willing to overlook potential service shortcomings, it might be a viable option. For those who value consistent customer service and a welcoming environment, other options might be more suitable.
Promotional information for Teriyaki Wok, based solely on the provided customer feedback, would revolve around its speed of service and the hot, fresh nature of its food. The convenience of a quick meal and the efficiency of receiving utensils and napkins prepared with the order are minor, yet beneficial, points. However, the negative customer experiences, particularly regarding service demeanor and operational practices, would significantly hinder any positive promotional efforts. Businesses typically rely on positive word-of-mouth and consistent service to build a strong reputation, and the issues reported could actively deter potential customers. There is no specific promotional pricing or loyalty programs mentioned in the provided information, suggesting that the primary appeal is the quick preparation of standard Chinese and Teriyaki dishes.
In conclusion, Teriyaki Wok at 16256 Military Rd S #110, SeaTac, WA 98188, offers a fast-food style experience for Chinese and Teriyaki cuisine, with a focus on delivering hot and fresh meals quickly. While some customers appreciate the straightforward service and the speed of order fulfillment, significant concerns have been raised regarding customer interactions, including reports of coldness, unresponsiveness to phone calls, and more serious allegations. The dine-in environment may also be impacted by staffing levels. Potential customers are advised to consider these varying experiences when deciding whether to visit. For inquiries, you can attempt to reach them at (206) 444-6520, though phone service reliability may vary.

Customer Reviews
We moved to the area a couple of months ago, and we had made this our regular teriyaki spot. We will probably stop going, though, as the owners were always kind of cold towards us, and they apparently don't take phone calls/hang up on you if you try calling to place an order in the evening. It's super unfortunate because I don't get home until around 7, so we can't really call earlier. We could go in-person, but we like to eat at home sometimes, and besides, why should customers be forced to eat IN the restaurant after a certain time?? All of that mixed with the other reviews mentioning their swearing at customers, racism, and littering is more than enough to keep us away for good.
Great & straightforward customer service. The food comes out hot, fresh, and fast; utensils & napkins come prepared in the bag and the portions are enough for one. The dine in is flawed due to short staff but isn’t too bad, would recommend self serve cleaning supplies for tables :)
Great chinese food. Big shrimp! Been here a handle full of times and never had an issue. Til last Fri. The lady wanted me to sign my receipt, I never signed my receipts any of the times I've been there before. When this became an issue for them a guy in his early 50s with salt and pepper hair wearing glasses asked "What the &*$% is wrong with you?" Take a back I asked him "Did you just swear at me?" He grabbed my take out order and placed it in the middle of the kitchen. Said I would leave a review. Politely let wishing them a happy new year and told them I love them. Who swears at customers over something so small or in general? If I was rude would totally understand the reason for words, since I wasn't that is what's causing the confusion.
WORKERS LITTER THE NEIGHBORHOOD! I'll no longer buy here. SEE PHOTO A male and female employee smoke a ton of cigarettes every day (I see them...) and they throw them in the sidewalk and street. This is a decent family neighborhood and they should dispose of their trash properly... I'd give them negative stars for making the community that is supporting their families look like a dump. I clean the street because these inconsiderate people don't care. They should be ashamed....
The Owners an Asian Man and Woman are racist and rude. They made racial remarks in Korean language. I am African American who studied in Korea, so I understood their unwarranted insults. Also, they are chain smokers and often don't wash hands when preparing food. I will add photos soon!
