Customer Reviews
I wouldn’t come here again or recommend it to others. I arrived around 12-12:10pm and my first impression of the place was that it looked outdated and the light fixtures were all over the place. The tea pot looked like it hadn’t been washed, and the spinning glass top on the table was slightly sticky. My plate had some black residue on it that I had to use a napkin to wipe off. The service was slow and what little workers that were on the floor were talking to one another for an extended amount of time. I understand that the workers could’ve felt overwhelmed with the amount of tables to serve, but they genuinely looked like they didn’t even want to be there. And finally, the food. It wasn’t good. Many dishes felt under-seasoned and weren’t “constructed” well. For example, the rice noodle rolls were way too thick, it was holding its shape when I picked it up; and the steamed shrimp dumplings had the shrimp paste spewing out. Overall, I’d save your money for another restaurant that serves dim sum.
This place is a hidden gem for dim sum! The quality and flavor of the dishes are top-notch. The har gow and siu mai are especially delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors. The service is friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you're into dim sum, don't miss out on this underrated spot! Our server was super sweet and prompt. Very affordable!
Besides that, there are parts of this restaurant that appear DIRTY and should not be passing a Health Department Inspection, I and my family just experienced what can only be described as racism or perhaps more accurately NATIONALITY BIAS!! You see from the moment we were inside this dump; it was apparent that we, the only AMERICAN people there, were not welcome! When we arrived, we were very excited to try the menu with all the different Dim Sum choices. I made these plans in advance as it was our anniversary and wanted to do something different. After we were sat, I looked at some of the other "Asian" individuals' tables and their Dim Sum looked great! It was 5pm on a Sunday; I look at the menu and within 30 seconds the waitress is there asking if we’re ready to order. So, I begin to order 3 Egg Rolls for my family. I get told "We don't have any egg rolls" - I'm looking at them on the table next to us!! But OK at 5pm MAYBE they ran out. The server says, "we have spring rolls" for one order of two of them it is DOUBLE the price of the 3 egg rolls, so I say, "OK give me one order of spring rolls." She immediately quips back "They're really small." So, I should order more I thought to myself??? I replied "OK, then don't give me any at all." I move on to ask for the Dim Sum menu - I'm told, "There is no Dim Sum" I'M LOOKING AT IT ON THE OTHER "ASIANS" TABLES!!!! I have experienced something similar another time in one of my many dinners in different places in China Town in Manhattan when I lived in NY, but I never expected it here in Orlando!! I can see what's going on, so I order two entrees cause the family is hungry, it's against my better judgment, but I'm trying to stay calm......The food comes, it's merely alright, nothing special, the server never returned after taking the order, Oh and the restaurant had only three other table in use besides us!! During the dinner we have a water spill, it goes EVERYWHERE! NO ONE comes over to wipe the table, chairs, clean the puddle of water under the table NOTHING!! Fast-forward - I just want us out of there, I go to the register to ASK FOR & pay the bill, since it was never brought to us! I fill in the total and leave the TIP BLANK - OBVIOUSLY! The woman behind the register has the BRASS BALLS to say to me "No Tip?" I really don't wanna argue in this place, so I replied, "Yeah I'm gonna do that in cash." She GOES to the table to see if there is money there!!! She looks and says, "There's no money." I told her "Yeah it's in the car, I'm gonna go get the money in the car." So, we leave this DUMP and will never return........be WARNED and watch and see if this place doesn't end up in the news for Health Code Violations!!! Trust me it's on the way!!!
My mom chose this place to celebrate her birthday, so we all gathered to enjoy some good Chinese food. Ling and the other server were accommodating. The food was food, but they said we can only order steamed dim sum if we wanted. Later I guess they made some other dim sum that we could choose from on a cart. My sister is the one who can order food dim sum so she ordered some for the tables (We had to join 2 tables to accommodate our big family). We also ordered family size orders of a beef dish (I can't remember the exact name), sweet and sour pork, & beef chow fun. The venue is pretty big and Chinese-mafiaesque, but it's in the part of town that's not always safe. It's located in a strip mall. When you enter, there's a huge TV wall. They said sometimes they have karaoke, but only for VIP.
We went on Chinese New Year’s 2/10/24 Great Chinese Cantonese foods by far in Florida. My husband is Chinese and he agrees with me. Foods was so fresh taste great.,lobster special 2 for 22.95$ so cheap and delicious!!! Dim sum excellent everything taste so…..great. Decent portion. It was our favorite restaurant . Thanks for the chefs 👍 Service was good but if you go on weekend just need to help yourself go to dim sum cart grab foods yourself because they not have enough waitress but we not mind to hunting for food..haha but waitress was try hard and fast.
