About Tea Leaf 2
Welcome to Tea Leaf 2, a Chinese Restaurant situated at 4646 Pacific Ave SE in Lacey, Washington. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Tea Leaf 2 aims to provide a variety of Chinese culinary options to the Lacey community. While specific details regarding the restaurant's ambiance and environment are not extensively available online, customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the overall dining experience.
Regarding the services offered by Tea Leaf 2, it can be inferred that they provide both dine-in and takeout options, as is typical for many Chinese restaurants. The mention of customers having dined there for over 25 years suggests a history of serving the local community. You can contact Tea Leaf 2 directly at (360) 459-3800 or their mobile number, +1 360-459-3800, to inquire about their current service offerings, including whether they provide delivery services or have specific dining hours.
Based on the limited information available, it's challenging to definitively highlight specific features or unique selling points of Tea Leaf 2. One long-term customer, who has been visiting for over 25 years, praises the consistency in ownership, quality, and pricing relative to portion sizes. They specifically recommend the "special beef" and any of the appetizers, suggesting these might be signature or popular items on their menu. This positive review indicates a potential for satisfying and well-regarded dishes.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge a significantly negative recent review that presents a starkly different picture. This customer described their experience as the "absolutely worst Chinese food I've ever had." They reported several serious concerns regarding the quality and freshness of the food, including freezer-burnt and fishy-smelling shrimp, rice that tasted several days old, rock-hard egg rolls, and fishy and old crab rangoons. This reviewer also noted that multiple rice orders were packed into a single container and described the chow mein as resembling dried spaghetti. The severity of these claims raises significant concerns about the current food quality at Tea Leaf 2.
The stark contrast between the positive long-term review and the very negative recent review suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality of food and possibly service at Tea Leaf 2. It is possible that there have been changes in kitchen staff, ingredient sourcing, or food preparation methods that have impacted the more recent customer's experience. The long-standing positive feedback indicates a potential for a good dining experience, but the recent negative feedback should not be disregarded by potential customers.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Tea Leaf 2 based on the provided data. Local users interested in any special offers, discounts, or new menu items are advised to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers. It would be prudent to inquire about the freshness of ingredients and current food preparation practices given the recent negative feedback.
In conclusion, Tea Leaf 2 in Lacey, WA, is a Chinese Restaurant with a history of serving the local community for over two decades, as indicated by a long-term positive review praising its consistent quality and recommending specific dishes like the special beef and appetizers. However, a very recent review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the food quality, citing issues such as freezer-burnt seafood, old rice, and poorly prepared appetizers and noodles. This significant discrepancy in customer experiences makes it difficult to provide a uniformly positive or negative introduction. Potential customers should be aware of these contrasting opinions and may wish to exercise caution or seek further information before dining at Tea Leaf 2. Contacting the restaurant directly for the most up-to-date information on their menu, service options, and any potential promotions is recommended.

Absolutely worst Chinese food I've ever had!!!!! freezer burnt shrimp obviously thawed and Frozen multiple times and was stinky like fish. Rice was at least 3 days old, I've had better out of my refrigerator after a week. Egg rolls were hard as a rock, crab Rangoon are fishy and old. Ive had better at midnight from a gas station. All the orders of rice were packed into on box. The chow mein looks like dried spaghetti. I really hope we don't get sick.!!! I will never eat here again and I suggest no one else spend $100 hard earned money here. If I could give zero I would, honestly looks like last week's Safeway Chinese
This is literally the best Chinese food your family will ever have!! We have been coming here for over 25 years. Still the same owners, the same quality and great prices for the portion. I recommend the special beef and any of the appetizers! If you try it once it will most definitely become a regular spot for you.
03/02/2024: Pretty standard American Chinese food. The two of us ordered the chicken wings, honey walnut shrimp, a special A and C. Chicken wings came hot and freshly fried. Nice a crispy. I would not recommend the honey walnut shrimp. There was too much sauce which was overpowering and the walnuts were quite crunchy. Our specials included egg roll and fried rice. One with sweet sour chicken and Mongolian beef the other with sweet sour pork and chicken chow mein. The batter wasn't too thick and had a nice crunch. Noodles were crispy style and short noodles like on a salad topping, not my preference. Mongolian beef was a bit charred. We'll go back to try other dishes. Overall we were satisfied and service was really friendly and prompt.
Edit: Tried it again 7 years later and it's worse. Crunchy noodles just tasted like used oil. Mooshu was 80% bean sprouts and literally 4 shreds of pork, vinegar instead of plum sauce or hoisin was a surprise. Crab wontons & potstickers taste like burnt Worcestershire sauce. Soggy & sad. All the sauces tastes like bad steak sauce. The best thing was the almond chicken and it was weirdly sweet. Pork Fried rice is literally flavorless dry pork chunks in white rice. Not fried or flavored at all. First review: Flavorless. Smelled like chicken noodle day at a school cafeteria on the way home. Just salt, pepper and chicken broth. Mooshu was fresh veggies but nothing but oil on it. Lots of oil. No flavor. The general tso was mushy small pieces of chicken in a mildly spiced sauce . The chow mein was nothing but noodles, very little veggies or chicken. I was surprised because I saw a picture online with lots of veggies and chicken. Fried rice was basically rice with peas flavored with nothing but disappoint. The people were nice, the veggies were fresh but there wasn't any flavor.
Always excellent. Never had a bad meal and they have gluten free soy for my Celiacs. I could eat here everyday if I wasn't so far away. The service is excellent. Fast, efficient and delicious. Love this place!
