About Tasty Time 425
Tasty Time 425, located at 2217 140th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98005, is a Chinese restaurant that offers a distinct dining experience, particularly catering to late-night patrons. For reservations or inquiries, they can be reached at (425) 644-5000 or via mobile at +1 425-644-5000. As a Chinese restaurant, Tasty Time 425 appears to specialize in a specific style of Chinese cuisine that includes roasted dishes and skewers, distinguishing it from typical Cantonese or Sichuan eateries.
The **environment** at Tasty Time 425 seems to have undergone significant changes since its original opening. One reviewer noted, "This restaurant size, decoration, and concept is different from when it opened originally. We speculate the restaurant split in half." This suggests a dynamic space that has adapted over time, possibly to accommodate different dining concepts or capacities. Despite potential changes, the restaurant appears to be a popular spot, even late into the night. One customer visited at "10pm on a Friday night," indicating it serves as a late-night dining destination. The mention of "KTV rooms" and "outside dining" suggests a multifaceted venue. KTV (Karaoke Television) rooms imply private spaces for entertainment and dining, adding a social and recreational dimension to the restaurant. Outdoor dining would provide an al fresco option, enhancing the overall appeal. While specific details on decor are absent, the presence of these varied dining areas suggests a versatile and potentially lively atmosphere that can cater to different group sizes and preferences, from intimate gatherings to larger, more celebratory occasions.
Regarding **services**, Tasty Time 425 offers both dine-in and takeout options, catering to diverse customer needs. However, the service experience can vary, particularly during peak hours or late at night. One reviewer observed, "the servers were very overwhelmed with maybe KTV rooms and outside dining but they were very busy." This indicates that while the restaurant is popular, staffing levels or operational efficiency might be stretched during busy periods, leading to potential delays or mix-ups. The reviewer experienced this firsthand: "Food came out in partial orders and we felt like we received the wrong orders but just accepted the dishes since it would take too long to fix the order and get the correct dish." This highlights a challenge in service consistency when the establishment is very busy. Despite these challenges, the ability to order cooked meat, along with the availability of KTV rooms and outdoor seating, suggests a comprehensive service offering aimed at providing a complete dining and entertainment experience. For takeout, the process would likely involve placing an order in person or over the phone, with the expectation of quicker service, though the aforementioned operational pressures might still apply.
The **features** of Tasty Time 425's menu seem to lean towards specific types of Chinese cuisine, particularly highlighting roasted dishes and skewers, which are less commonly found as primary features in all Chinese restaurants in the U.S. A standout item that receives significant praise is the **roasted fish**. A reviewer raved, "The roasted fish is awesome!!! Everything included in the original receipt like cabbage, onion, sliced beef. The fish is deeply fried and well with the soup at the bottom. It's in a big size and great to enjoy it with the rice!!!!" This description points to a flavorful and substantial dish, likely a specialty of the house, prepared with a combination of deep-frying and simmering in a savory soup. The "big size" suggests it's ideal for sharing, perhaps as a family-style centerpiece, consistent with "my friends recommended their large dishes here." This indicates that the restaurant excels in larger, perhaps communal, format dishes.
However, not all menu items receive equally high praise. The reviewer had a less favorable experience with the skewers: "The skewers might not be such good since I feel the lamb meat is not so fresh. Even with seasoning, that tastes strange. Also not recommended chicken wings." This provides valuable insight for potential customers, suggesting that while some specialties are exceptional, other menu items, particularly certain types of skewers and chicken wings, might not consistently meet expectations regarding freshness or taste. The restaurant's strength appears to lie in its "large dishes," emphasizing a focus on certain culinary strengths. The "cooked meat was good," suggesting that their preparations of meat dishes, when ordered cooked, are generally well-received. This specialization allows Tasty Time 425 to offer a unique culinary niche compared to more generalized Chinese eateries, focusing on specific preparations that are well-executed, even if some other items might be less consistent.
As for **promotional information**, the provided customer reviews do not explicitly mention any ongoing promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs offered by Tasty Time 425. However, given its nature as a Chinese restaurant with distinct features like KTV rooms and late-night hours, it is common for such establishments to offer various incentives to attract and retain customers. Potential promotions could include:
- Late-night specials or happy hour deals on specific dishes or drinks.
- KTV room rental packages that include food and beverage credits.
- Group dining discounts for large parties, especially given the "large dishes" recommendation.
- Seasonal menu items or limited-time offers to introduce new flavors or celebrate holidays.
- Takeout or delivery specials to encourage off-premise dining.
In conclusion, Tasty Time 425 at 2217 140th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA, is a distinctive Chinese restaurant that caters to both dine-in and takeout customers, notably offering late-night service and featuring KTV rooms and outdoor dining. While service can be overwhelmed during busy periods, its environment is versatile and dynamic. The restaurant's culinary highlight is its "awesome" roasted fish and other "large dishes," though some skewers and chicken wings might be less consistent. For those seeking a unique Chinese dining experience, particularly with a focus on roasted specialties and an option for late-night entertainment, Tasty Time 425 presents a compelling choice in the Bellevue area.

We went on a Friday night at 10pm. The cooked meat was good but the servers were very overwhelmed with maybe KTV rooms and outside dining but they were very busy. Went here for new years, great vibes good food. Left very satisfied. Got twice cooked pork and fried soft tofu. Twice cooked pork was okay, good and flavorful. Fried soft tofu was very nice savory and bit sweet. Lambs skewers were flavorful and tender. Good service
We ordered plenty of BBQ and dishes!! Those dishes may be too much for four people!! Since we ordered one appetizer (stinky tofu), four BBQ types (chicken wing skewer, lamb skewer, beef skewer, and roasted leeks) and 3 dishes (eggplant, roasted duck, and stir fried beef). Hence, it will be $40 per person with tax and tips included. otherwise, I guess it should be $30 on average!!
never disappointed. like everyone else said, good nighty spot in Bellevue and even we live an hour away now we still make an effort. love grilled oyster. being more friends if you want to eat the spicy fish hot pot because of the portion size. warning: service might be lack of when they are busy. It is not a fine dining so do not expect anything too fancy. the price you pay is for the food cost and living wage - not cheap yet affordable. They may forget your drinks or delay but overall no bad mindset servers, and everyone is willing to help whatever they could- thats good enough. Mom and I always enjoy our visit there, would recommend and would be back again and again :)
