This sets a positive tone and suggests a high level of satisfaction with the food and overall experience. A standout item frequently praised is their buns, described as "super moist, chewy, and fresh!!" This indicates a dedication to quality and texture in their baked goods, a cornerstone of northern Chinese cuisine.

Another appetizer that has garnered attention is the cabbage dish, noted as "tasty, sour/sweet :)." This suggests a well-balanced and flavorful starter that provides a refreshing contrast to other richer dishes on the menu. The combination of sour and sweet notes is a common and appealing characteristic in many Asian cuisines.

Customers consistently highlight the friendly service at Tasty Noodle House. This aspect contributes significantly to a positive dining experience, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. For those opting for takeout, the restaurant is commended for packing food well, ensuring that it remains hot upon arrival at the customer's home. A key feature of Tasty Noodle House is its unique blend of authentic northern Chinese food with Korean influences. This fusion creates a distinctive menu that offers familiar Chinese dishes prepared with a Korean twist, or perhaps introduces entirely new dishes that showcase this culinary intersection. This is a significant draw for those seeking a departure from standard Chinese restaurant fare and an opportunity to explore new and exciting flavor profiles.

The restaurant is particularly renowned for its "baos 水煎包!" which are described as "so fluffy and meaty." These pan-fried buns are a popular northern Chinese street food, and Tasty Noodle House seems to have mastered their preparation, achieving a desirable fluffy texture and a satisfyingly meaty filling. This signature dish is likely a must-try for first-time visitors.

General feedback on the food is overwhelmingly positive, with one reviewer stating, "Everything we tried was very good and authentic." This broad endorsement suggests a consistent level of quality across their menu, reinforcing the authenticity of their northern Chinese offerings.

Specific dishes mentioned in the reviews provide further insight into their culinary strengths. The "鍋貼" (guotie), or potstickers, are praised for having a "thin skin and lots of filling" (皮薄餡多~), a hallmark of well-made dumplings. The "韓式炸醬麵" (jajangmyeon), a popular Korean-Chinese noodle dish with black bean sauce, is noted for its "firm and chewy noodles" (面很勁道), indicating attention to noodle texture, a crucial element in this dish.

One reviewer's comprehensive feedback highlights several standout dishes and aspects of the dining experience. They described the food as "amazing!" and specifically praised the pan-fried beef, noting that it was "amazingly tender," a welcome contrast to the often overdone and chewy versions found elsewhere. This suggests a skillful preparation of this particular dish.

The shrimp and pork soup and the pan-fried pork buns also received high marks for being "cooked really well and seasoned properly," with the reviewer appreciating that none of the food was "made unnecessarily sweet." This indicates a focus on balanced and nuanced flavors, avoiding excessive sweetness that can sometimes detract from the authenticity of Asian dishes.

Beyond the exceptional food, the reviewer also reiterated the "really, really nice" staff and highlighted the "very reasonable" prices for the quality of the food received. This combination of delicious, authentic cuisine, friendly service, and affordable pricing makes Tasty Noodle House an attractive option for diners in the San Gabriel area.

Finally, the restaurant is described as "small and pretty cozy." This suggests an intimate and comfortable dining environment, perhaps ideal for a casual meal with family or friends. The cozy atmosphere likely adds to the overall appeal and makes patrons feel at ease.

Based on the information available, there are no specific promotional offers mentioned in the reviews. However, the consistently positive feedback regarding the quality of the food and the reasonable prices could be considered an inherent value proposition, attracting customers seeking delicious and authentic cuisine without breaking the bank. The repeat mentions of specific popular dishes like the baos, pan-fried beef, and the Korean-Chinese noodles serve as strong recommendations in themselves.

In conclusion, Tasty Noodle House in San Gabriel offers a unique and highly praised dining experience by blending authentic northern Chinese cuisine with Korean influences. Known for their fluffy and meaty baos, tender pan-fried beef, flavorful cabbage appetizer, and well-executed noodle dishes like the 韓式炸醬麵, the restaurant provides a diverse and satisfying menu. The food here is amazing! Pan-fried beef is often overdone and pretty chewy, but here it was amazingly tender. The shrimp and pork soup and pan-fried pork buns were also cooked really well and seasoned properly; none of the food was made unnecessarily sweet. Beyond that, the staff was really, really nice, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the good, and the restaurant is small and pretty cozy. I highly recommend it!

This northern Chinese style noodle house is a bit hidden in the plaza and a hole in the wall, but very worth visiting. We had the pickled Napa and lamb stew, pan fried pork buns, eggplant with baby shrimp, and baby cucumber fungus with egg. The sour from the pickled Napa countered the lamb really well and the sweetness of the egg went well with the oyster sauce in the cucumber dish. Each dish was great and distinct.

All I can say is I should've ordered what was popular which seems to be the bao. I would not recommend the Jelly Fish Head Marinated in Chinese Balsamic Vinegar Sauce. The jelly head itself was quite bland, it seemed to rely on the vinegar, soy sauce, and excessive helping of minced garlic. Best to not speak to someone for a day after. The Pan Fried Noodle with Shredded Pork was alright, the amount of pork felt somewhat few and far in between but the noodles were good. To reiterate, order what everyone else has been calling popular. It's definitely hole in the wall, there do seem to be frequent return customers, not much wait on a weekday night.

They now take credit card!! They're known for intestine, and fried baos dishes. I remember noodles in the past bring good too. But this visit we got the crispy intestine, fried baos and scallion pancake (they were thin types).
