The inclusion of a side of rice with this dish indicates a thoughtful and complete serving. Based on these initial reviews, Tasty House 红九九 seems to specialize in dishes that are rich in flavor and, in at least one instance, quite spicy, suggesting a potential focus on regional Chinese cuisine known for its bold tastes. The mention of Mao's pork belly, a classic Hunan dish, hints at a possible Hunan or Sichuan influence, as these regions are known for their flavorful and often spicy preparations. The positive feedback on the duck also suggests a proficiency in preparing this popular Chinese delicacy.

Customer Reviews
Had a quick lunch here today and ordered the Mao's pork belly and wood ear mushrooms with garlic sauce. Came with a side of rice. Food was super tasty (albeit super spicy) and would 100% come here again! Service was quick and friendly and they packaged my leftovers for me.
This place is solid. I think they’re fairly new. Went for some lunch and it was not very busy. The food was really good and tasty. Really enjoyed the duck. Service was quick and nice.
First time here and pleasantly surprised by the tasty dishes. We ordered beef with green beans and is our absolute favorite (will be back for this again), and the fried fish with dried chilli. It was a tad too spicy with a mala taste for my kids, but still tasty. Both dishes came out piping hot and we enjoyed our experience! The service staff were also friendly and extra patient with my kids who practiced asking for extra bowls and utensils in Mandarin.
Tasty House may be a new addition to the local food scene, but it delivers an authentic Szechuan experience that rivals long-established spots. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere stood out, making it a great place to enjoy a comforting and flavorful meal. One of the best features is their private dining rooms, perfect for large groups or special occasions--something you don't always find in Szechuan restaurants. Ambiance: 4/5 The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between a cozy, inviting atmosphere and a lively dining experience. The private rooms are a great touch for those looking for a more intimate setting. However the floor was a bit sticky and the dirty dishes were stacked very close to our table. Authenticity: 5/5 The flavors here are the real deal. The spice level is just right--not too overwhelming, but with enough heat to bring out the deep, rich flavors Szechuan cuisine is known for. You get the signature málà (numbing and spicy) experience without it being overpowering. Flavor: 5/5 Every dish I tried was full of bold and complex flavors. The balance of spices, aromatics, and fresh ingredients made each bite an experience. This is the kind of Szechuan food that keeps you coming back for more. Cost: 5/5 For the portion sizes and quality, the pricing is very fair. You're getting an authentic experience without breaking the bank, making it a great spot for regular visits. Service: 2/5 While the food was great, the service left much to be desired. The staff wasn't particularly attentive, and I had to pack my own leftovers, which isn't something I'd expect at a restaurant like this. It didn't ruin the experience, but it definitely could have been better. Final Thoughts: Tasty House is a must-visit for Szechuan food lovers. The quality, authenticity, and overall dining experience make it stand out. However, I hope they improve their service to match the high standard of their food. I'll still be returning for the flavors, but I'd love to see better attention to customers in the future.
First time in this place, very impressed by the food. The grilled fish tastes excellent, with tender and juicy meat. The side veggies include lotus root slices, celery, potato slices, wood ear mushrooms, and cauliflower, all of which are fresh and flavorful. Also, the dish comes to the table really fast, so we didn’t have to wait long to get the food. Besides, the servers are very friendly and attentive.
