About Tasty House 18

Welcome to Tasty House 18, a Chinese restaurant located at 4412 Kissena Blvd in Flushing, New York (11355, USA). As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category in the bustling Flushing area, Tasty House 18 aims to provide a convenient and quick option for those seeking delicious Chinese food on the go. While specific contact information like a phone number is not available in the provided data, its location on Kissena Blvd suggests accessibility for local residents and those passing through.

Based on recent customer feedback, Tasty House 18 has undergone a significant positive transformation with a change in ownership, accompanied by a new chef and staff. This upgrade is described as "long overdue," indicating that previous experiences might not reflect the current quality. A returning customer expressed pleasant surprise at the improvements, suggesting a notable enhancement in the food and potentially the overall service.

One of the standout items at the newly revamped Tasty House 18 is the "egg tarts," which are described as being "out of this world." This suggests a high level of quality and taste for this popular pastry. Similarly, the "roasted pork crumble" is also praised as exceptional ("out of this world"), indicating another must-try item for those visiting Tasty House 18. Furthermore, their "roasted duck" is highlighted as "amazing," suggesting a specialty that is prepared with excellence and likely to be a popular choice among customers.

The overall impression from this positive review is that Tasty House 18 is an ideal spot for a "quick stop without the fuss of sit down restaurants." This positions it as a go-to place for efficient takeout service without compromising on the quality and taste of the food, particularly their baked goods and roasted meats.

However, not all feedback is entirely positive. One customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with a specific order of "curry fish balls." This reviewer noted that despite paying for an item named "curry fish balls," they received only two actual fish balls. The remainder of the container was filled with what they described as "rehydrated pork skin." Furthermore, the taste was likened to "dish water after you eat curry," indicating a lack of authentic curry flavor. This negative experience highlights a potential inconsistency in the preparation or the accurate representation of certain menu items. The customer's disappointment suggests a need for better quality control and adherence to menu descriptions for all dishes.

Considering these contrasting reviews, Tasty House 18 appears to be a restaurant in transition, with significant improvements noted under new ownership, particularly in items like egg tarts, roasted pork crumble, and roasted duck. These could be considered features of the upgraded Tasty House 18, showcasing their potential for delicious, quick-service food. The emphasis on being a "quick stop without the fuss of sit down restaurants" suggests a service model focused on efficient takeout.

However, the negative review regarding the "curry fish balls" indicates that there might still be inconsistencies or issues with certain menu items. It is crucial for Tasty House 18 to address these concerns to ensure a positive experience for all customers and maintain the positive momentum reported by others regarding the new ownership and improved food quality.

Information regarding the environment of Tasty House 18 is limited. The description as a "quick stop without the fuss of sit down restaurants" implies a casual setting primarily geared towards takeout rather than an elaborate dine-in experience. Local users might expect a functional space designed for efficient order pickup.

Similarly, details about specific services beyond quick takeout are not provided. It is unclear if they offer delivery services or have any specific features like online ordering. Local users would likely need to visit the location at 4412 Kissena Blvd to place orders or inquire about their full menu and any additional services.

No promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in learning about any special offers or new menu items at Tasty House 18 should consider visiting the restaurant or looking for any online presence they might have to stay updated.

In conclusion, Tasty House 18 in Flushing, NY, is a Chinese restaurant that has recently undergone a change in ownership, with a new chef and staff reportedly leading to significant improvements in food quality. Highly recommended items include their egg tarts, roasted pork crumble, and roasted duck, making it a potentially excellent spot for a quick and tasty takeout meal. However, a negative review concerning the "curry fish balls" suggests that consistency across all menu items might still be a work in progress. For local users seeking a convenient takeout option with promising new offerings, Tasty House 18 is worth considering, but it might be prudent to inquire about specific dishes before ordering based on recent feedback.

They have changed owner and the food is really good. This place had new chef and staffs . This upgrade is long over due. Previous owners are not so good. Returned today and was pleasantly surprised! The egg tarts and roasted pork crumble are out of this world . Their roasted duck are also amazing. If you want a quick stop without the fuss of sit down restaurants. Come here!

鱼丸在哪里 ? 浪费钱 When I pay for food I expect to get what the item name is, "curry fish balls". They gave exactly 2 pieces of fish balls, entire container was just rehydrated pork skin ......... also tasted like the dish water after you eat curry, no flavor. Come on.

Flies everywhere, limited seating availability, expensive, doesn't taste good, and takes like 30 min to get a beef chow fun to eat there. I ordered beef chow fun, the beef was so rough it hurt my throat to swallow, the noodles barely had any oil on them so the noodles were clumpy meaning stick together you pick a noodle and you get like 10 noodles stuck together. That beef chow fun cost like 15 dollars took 30 min oh yeah there was so many raw onion on that order, I took one bite and went to the cashier to ask if there was a new cook? She said yeah the old cook will be back on Sat." That night was a Friday night, You'd figure friday night would be good, but nope, I took one bite and tossed out the rest. Im not a total hater. they have parking in the back that's very delightful.

Great to grab a quick lunch if you’re driving. They have a parking lot in the rear. Their food is not bad, but if you’re hungry and can’t find parking in flushing, this is one of the spots I would usually come to.
