About Tasty Dish Chinese Street Food

Tasty Dish Chinese Street Food is a restaurant located at 1184 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055, USA. While categorized under Chinese Restaurants, customer reviews suggest they offer a unique and well-crafted approach to Chinese cuisine. They can be contacted at (484) 851-3460 or +1 484-851-3460.

Customers have described their dining experience as "amazing" and "unforgettable," noting the "generous" portion sizes and the use of "freshest ingredients." The flavors are described as "bold and authentic," truly capturing traditional Chinese cooking. While one reviewer found the food "good and wellcrafted," they also noted it might be "a little quirky," suggesting a departure from typical Chinese restaurant food.

Parking is convenient, with "lots of parking in the back" and a ramp providing easy access to the front entrance. This eliminates street parking concerns.

Trying the MaPo tofu is recommended as a test of a Chinese restaurant's skill, and Tasty Dish's version was found to be "excellent," with great flavor and noticeable Szechuan peppers, although it was noted to be "a little more oily" than preferred by one reviewer.

A point of caution for those with allergies or preferences is that sesame seeds were unexpectedly included on the teriyaki chicken and chicken fried noodles. It is advisable to inquire about ingredients or specify omissions when ordering.

Other dishes receiving positive mentions include the "delicious" stir-fried eggplant rice bowl. The chicken fried noodles are made with Mei fun noodles, which are thinner than typical lo mein noodles.

The chicken teriyaki rice bowl was considered "average" by one customer, who found the chicken lacking in flavor and would not order it again.

The menu at Tasty Dish is "smaller than many Chinese restaurants," but each dish is said to have a "unique taste," which is considered a positive compared to larger menus where many dishes can taste similar. There is a "small" dining area in the restaurant, but it is suggested that they likely do more takeout business.

An online ordering app is available, but it does not allow for customization of dishes, such as leaving off sesame seeds. It is recommended to visit the restaurant multiple times to discover which dishes best suit individual tastes due to the menu's unique offerings.

Based on these reviews, Tasty Dish Chinese Street Food in Hellertown, PA, offers well-crafted and flavorful Chinese cuisine with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Standout dishes like the MaPo tofu and stir-fried eggplant rice bowl are recommended. However, customers should be mindful of potential undisclosed ingredients like sesame seeds and the lack of customization options on the online ordering app. Parking is ample, and while there is a small dining area, takeout seems to be a significant part of their service. Exploring their unique menu over several visits is advised to find personal favorites.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tasty Dish, and I can't stop thinking about the amazing experience. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was made with the freshest ingredients. The flavors were bold and authentic, really capturing the essence of traditional Chinese cooking. Overall, I had an unforgettable dining experience, and I can’t wait to return! Whether you’re a fan of classic Chinese dishes or want to try something new, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

This is not your typical Chinese restaurant food. It is good and wellcrafted. Perhaps a little quirky but worth a try. There is lots of parking in the back and a ramp that brings you to the front of the building where the entry doors are. So looking for a parking place on the street is not a problem. We ordered four items since it was the first time trying the place. The price per person would have been less and we only ordered two. My usual test of a Chinese restaurant is to order MaPo tofu. Every restaurant makes it different, but it takes a skilled chef to make it flavorful. This restaurant did an excellent job. It was, perhaps, a little more oily than I like it. But it had great flavor and you could feel the Szechuan peppers. Unfortunately, I had not ordered from the restaurant and did not know that they would put sesame seeds on the teriyaki chicken and chicken fried noodles. Since one of us doesn’t eat sesame seeds it became a problem. In the future, I would know not to order without deleting the Sesame seeds. The stirfried eggplant rice bowl was delicious. Aside from the Sesame seeds, the chicken fried noodles were good. If you order them, they are Mei fun noodles, which are thinner than the typical lo mein noodles. The chicken teriyaki rice bowl was average. I didn’t think the chicken was that flavorful. I would not order it again. The menu is smaller than many Chinese restaurants, but each dish how do unique taste. It is better than a menu with 200 items many of which pretty much taste the same, which is not an uncommon theme in some takeout Chinese restaurants. There is also a dining area in the restaurant, although it is small and I think they probably do more takeout. I would recommend this place although it may take you several trips to figure out which dishes best suit your taste. There is an online ordering app, but I did not use it because it does not allow you to customize the dish (in case you want to leave off Sesame seeds.)

Found this place from a google search. The photos looked great. I’m giving 2 stars purely based on the service I received. When I walked in the woman at the counter asked if she could help me. I said I wanted to place an order. She went to the back for two minutes, came back out, and was on her phone. I’m asking her questions about a dish and each time, there would be like a minute pause while she did whatever she was doin on her phone, and then she’d answer in such a way that left me feeling like I was a burden for wanting to know about the menu. After this happening like, 5 different times, I finally just made a choice, not really knowing what I was going to get. this woman still continued to be on her phone. The food was good, and I was happy with the price as well. But I wont be back. What should have been a 2 minute exchange ended up being like a 10 minute exchange. Would also like to add that there wasn’t a single customer in the place and she still couldn’t give me the time of day.

Just want to say i rarely leave reviews but looking at others on here made me want to try this place i could tell as soon as i got into my car the smell was great, what followed was even better. This is without a doubt the least greasy chinese take out i’ve had the food was excellent, and my kids who are extremely picky eaters loved it and ate all of their meal. This place is great and worth it, can’t wait to try other dishes

This is a fun place to stop in and check out. I tried the lunch combo. I wasn't a big fan of their chicken, the dumplings were good, but a little on the sour side. But... the egg and tomato stir fry was absolutely amazing. I would go just for that alone. I will be back to try other dishes.
