About Taste of Thai & Sushi

Taste of Thai & Sushi, located at 9 N Main St, Kingwood, TX 77339, USA, offers a diverse menu featuring both Thai and Japanese dishes, including sushi. Customer reviews present contrasting opinions on the dining experience.

One enthusiastic reviewer declared this restaurant to be "100% the best Thai restaurant in Texas." They were highly impressed by the food quality and described the service as "absolutely amazing." They specifically mentioned a staff member named Lek, whom they found to be very knowledgeable about every dish on the menu. This reviewer strongly recommends visiting the restaurant for an "amazing experience."

Conversely, another customer, who was visiting from out of state and had expectations for good curry, expressed significant disappointment. They found the curry to be "really watery," the fried rice to be "bland" with only egg and missing expected ingredients like onions, peas, and carrots. They also criticized their paanang curry for having an incorrect, runny consistency. This reviewer, identifying as a chef, felt that essential elements were skipped, resulting in a lack of authenticity and poor taste, leading to a strong sentiment of regret for spending money at the restaurant and a vow not to return. They also questioned the use of jasmine rice instead of regular white rice in the fried rice.

Based on these reviews, Taste of Thai & Sushi seems to offer a potentially exceptional experience for some, particularly regarding the overall Thai food quality and service, as highlighted by one reviewer. However, another customer had a considerably negative experience with specific Thai dishes like curry and fried rice, citing issues with consistency, ingredients, and authenticity. Potential diners may want to consider these differing opinions when deciding to visit. There is no information provided regarding the restaurant's environment, other services, features, or any promotional offers.

I’m not from Texas and I expecting to eat really good curry and I hate ate here and 2 other places and your curry is really watery fried rice is bland and there is only egg scrambles in it where are the onions peas and carrots. My paanag curry was not good at all when you make this curry the sauce is thick but not two thick not runny I would recommend a revamp of the friend rice and curry. I’m a chef and there are just certain things you can’t skip when making things be authentic and to taste authentic I’m really upset I spent money here. Never again. Like why is the rice so bare? And it’s jasmine instead of regular white rice smh and the orange looking sauce is the curry but it’s so runny

Thai food is a favorite for me and my wife. Where we lived before moving to Texas, there are lots of Thai restuarants. Living here now, there aren't a lot to choose from but we started trying out places. This restaurant started out great. The food and service were good, nice little quiet place and located in a nice walking area. A few minutes after leaving, I realized that I had forgotten my bank card at the restaurant. I called them and they confirmed they found it and were holding it for me at the front desk. Amazing service in my mind!! However, several days later we started seeing strange charges from oriental supply stores and another oriental restaurant. It sucks to be stolen from and we're working to shut off our card, but now we have to adjust billing for EVERYTHING. I hope this was just one person's lapse in judgement and not the whole company. I've tried calling to figure this out but no answer. Send me a contact email or phone, please. I'd love to get this resolved.

Amazing experience. The restaurant has a retro feel and is very clean. We had shrimp spring rolls and they were tasty and crunchy. I had the Pad Prik Khing with chicken and red curry.. wow my tastebuds exploded so good!
