Customer reviews for Taste of India Melbourne present a mixed experience. One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their visit. They criticized the service as "not welcoming," "rushing," and "not very friendly." They also noted issues with the cleanliness of the restrooms and the use of a hallway as a storage area. They found the eggplant dish to be "extremely spicy" despite requesting a non-spicy order and felt the restaurant staff was unhelpful in addressing the issue. They also criticized the quality of the rice and naan, and found the prices to be high for the portion sizes. The reviewer also mentioned loud music that was not traditional Indian music. Overall, they were disappointed and felt the management did not handle their concerns well.

In contrast, another reviewer had a much more positive experience, praising the "fantastic food." They highlighted the "beautiful" interior decor, with "gilded gold and brass accents and statues" and a "stunning ceiling." They found the menu to be helpful, with pictures accompanying the descriptions. They acknowledged that the service was "a little sluggish" but noted that the food arrived "hot and correct."

This reviewer raved about the freshness and flavor of the dishes, particularly the palak paneer, mix grill, and lamb chops. They also recommended the lamb and cheese naan. They emphasized the "healthy portions" and the "made from scratch recipes," stating that Taste of India "will not disappoint."

In summary, Taste of India Melbourne offers authentic Indian cuisine with beautiful interior decor. However, customer reviews indicate inconsistencies in service and spice levels. While some customers praise the flavorful dishes and ambiance, others have experienced issues with slow service, overly spicy food, and poor management of customer concerns. Potential customers should be aware of these mixed reviews and consider them when deciding to dine at this establishment.

We were attracted by good reviews, but don’t trust them if you like good restaurants. The decor is very nice but at the same time hallway serves as a storage room and restrooms are way dirty. Loud music has nothing to do with the Indian restaurant. Service was very disappointing, not welcoming, rushing us out and not very friendly. We ordered lamb, was good but not delicious. Eggplant dish was extremely spice( we specified a non spice order and had to return it). Instead of apology I felt stupid trying to protect my rights as a customer. Nan was not tasty, rice was low quality and looked very cheap. Prices are high while dishes are smaller than in other places. No compliments before or after, which could be nice with their prices. I left disappointed with burning mouth, upset stomach and desire to share this so this issues can be addressed! People deserve to be treated well! We pay you and support your business. It is a shame that you serve dangerously spicy food that can harm someone like me, by kitchen mistake. And by previous reviews it happens on a regular basis. Shame on chef who blames a customer not apologize. Manager doesn’t care and didn’t make an effort… be careful. If the owner read this, the place is not managed well, maybe that’s why is empty. I wish prosperity for all and joy for customers. Piece

Fantastic food!! With only a few Indian restaurants in Brevard, Taste Of India is by far my favorite thus far. The inside decor is beautiful. Lots of gilded gold and brass accents and statues with a stunning ceiling that makes me want to redo mine at home. They offer a simple drink menu of soft drinks, teas, lassis, wine and beer.. no liquor, but for a small place, a common thing. The menu is colorful with lots of pictures, so very helpful for anyone who is or is not accustomed to Indian food fare. The service was a little sluggish, but all of our orders came out hot and correct. The food is so fresh and has so much flavor! The palak paneer is my favorite, followed by the mix grill and the lamb chops. All the meats are perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned to perfection. Don’t forget the lamb or cheese naan! Healthy portions. Made from scratch recipes with a beautiful interior, Taste Of India will not disappoint.

We found many great menu selections for vegetarian dining here. (Clearly marked) We enjoyed samosas, dal, and garlic naan. Staff was attentive, environment was clean, the food seemed very fresh and tasty. A good experience!

Indian food is hard to find, but this place packs a punch with great flavors and specials! The Naan here is great and the mixed grill sampler is a great item to get when trying out the menu! The flavor of the curry is top notch and they bring the heat, but the mild options were a perfect amount of flavor and heat!

I ordered butter chicken, but spicy. It was delicious. The Naan was good top. Rice was perfect. 10/10 would eat here again. The Indian beer was a little pricey.
