About Taste of Hong Kong 聚龍茶餐

Taste of Hong Kong 聚龍茶餐 is a Chinese restaurant located at 2301 Brimley Rd in Scarborough, Toronto (postal code M1S 5B8), specializing in Hong Kong style cuisine. According to one review, they offer a big breakfast at an excellent price point, with dishes like steak with fried eggs and sausage rice noodle soup being substantial in size and having an alright taste. However, it's noted that the food court where it's located can get very busy, making it difficult to find a seat after 11:30 am.

In contrast, another review expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the food was dry and not fresh, with excessive pepper used potentially to mask staleness. This review suggests a decline in quality under a new owner and does not recommend the restaurant.

Given the conflicting feedback, it's advisable for potential customers to consider these recent experiences. Taste of Hong Kong 聚龍茶餐 can be contacted at (416) 292-8898 or +1 416-292-8898 for any inquiries about their current menu and services.

Please be aware that seating might be challenging during peak hours due to its location within a potentially busy food court.

Excellent price point for big breakfast. I had steak with fried eggs+sausage rice noodle soup. They were huge. Taste is also alright. Just be aware that the food court fill-up fast and it’s difficult to find a seat after 1130am.

Everything was dry, and not fresh. They put a lot of pepper powder to cover the staleness. This place used to be good, but the new owner spoiled the goodwill. Not recommended.

Great tasting Hong Kong Style food. The owner was the former co-owner of Red Tea House and started this business a few months ago. Quality and portions are good and prices are fair. Similar dishes to Red Tea House. We ordered the beef brisket with rice and hainanese chicken., both served with hot or cold drink.

Had a craving for "chicken steak" rice. Had one dish with "white sauce" and the other with tomato sauce. Both are casserole. Chicken leg meat on a layer of fried rice. I had take out as opposed to dining in the food court. The cashier was friendly but she forgot to ask if I wanted sugar in my lemon tea. You get a choice of drink. I had soup and lemon tea. Cost for the two dishes is $20.30. Not bad. I used to frequent this place around the time of the pandemic. The "owner" was a short female, also friendly. From the other reviews, it disheartens me she sold the business. Prices did go up to reflect on inflation. Wish you luck "previous owner".

This is under a new owner/management. There is a wider menu and no extra charge for milk tea/soup. This practice has apparently improved their sales(longer lineups). However, the food isn’t quite as tasty compared to others in the same food court. Malay curry pork chop on rice is so diluted and no curry flavour. I probably will stay away for awhile then to see if the chefs’ have improved. Good luck.
